Update. Yes Dr Andy the lady at Bangkok Bank did give me the correct number. Yes, as most of you pointed out, the Bangkok Bank Office in NY is where your money must be sent if it is to be sent on to Thailand for deposit to your account here. So you open the NY direct deposit account from any Bangkok Bank in Thailand and also open a second account to put the money in after you transfer it here to Thailand. I did that last month, May, and the 4th of June all three of my direct deposits came thru. It works for social security, military retirement, and va disability payments. I don't know about other types of retirements since I only have these three types. So again, I thank all of you for your help and information. John

OOOPS, I forgot to ask another question. Does anyone know how to get the swift code/nine digit bank routing number for any bank in USA? I have tried google and searching but no luck. I requested directly from one bank but they refused to give out the number to an e-mail address. John

Do you have a cheque book? - the numbers are on the cheques.

If not, this may help Swift Code | Bank BIC Codes: United States (U.S.) Bank Swift Code List
