I shit you not. My mum told me vegemite was made from vegetables and marmite from meat.
So according to my mum, no, it is not halal.

She was right technically. Vegemite is yeast extract and I think Marmite is beef extract (or is that Bovril?).
I think that would make them halal or at least not haram.
