My Thai Family wont let me lift a finger & it`s driving me nuts.

Just came across this, in the Daily Telegraph.

A high-pitched squeal stabs at my eardrum, followed by the sound of urgent footsteps pacing down the stairs. I look up and see my girlfriend’s mother standing over me with my girlfriend joining her, out of breath, by her side.
"Put it down," my girlfriend shouts. I step back and comply. The look on both her and her mother’s face means they don’t want to be messed with.

I get moaned at when we are down south, mainly because when in the jungle i will climb over 30 up a fruit tree to shake or cut it down to the brother in law.
They seem to think i am going to fall,so its okay to have a moan i guess rest of the time mother is quite happy for Gert and myself to get stuck in to the chores.

"You can stay with my family," suggested my girlfriend. "You will have your own bedroom and I will sleep with my mom."
About the time I would have ran.

Are you sure you are a mature adult and not a silly little schoolboy.
WAS your post and alteration really necessary?

Properly, it's done without the cereal.

Thank fuk for that; thought we'd seen the last of you there, mate...

He does seem like an unusual chap. Does the MiL participate when they (he and the gf) want to have sex?

Quite strange. He probably lived with his Mum before, so maybe he's used to it.

    Hmmm...

If you want to know more:

    Robert Davies Journalist

Seems to be a different world from the one I grew up in. He appears to have done a diploma and written a couple of opinion pieces that have been printed by newspapers/magazines. And, calls himself a freelance journalist. I don't want to be judgemental, might be a talented and great bloke, living in Thailand with the inlaws, separate bedroom, no job (?)...

By time we were his age, I suspect most of us had done quite a lot. Davis had 4 medal of honors, 6 distinguished service medals, 3 purple hearts and 12 silver stars by the time he was 25...

You had to actually put your own sugar in your coffee? Where was your wife or MIL?

Writes like a right knobend as well. Maybe at some point, he might grow a pair, get a proper job and get out of MiL's house. Plenty of time yet, though. He's only 36.... Pansy!
