    Best way to learn any language is by dropping deep behind enemy lines, grabbing a local lass and opening a money lending business.

    Yeah, sounds like a great way to learn the language... Try it and get back to me..

    Sorry to burst your bubble but;
    There is NO short, rapid, speedy, fast, accelerated or any other snazzy adjective you wanna insert in front of any course which teaches second language acquisition.

    It takes time, effort, more time and most importantly motivation to learn it, to get it to "stick" and to become even half-assed proficient.

    The methodology is less of a factor than your motivation. If you're not "into it 100%" you could buy every course out there and still not be able to string 6 thai words together coherently.. Motivation is the linch-pin in learning this language..

    I've also found having a thai (in)significant other can be a detriment to acquiring good thai language skills, but that's just an observation..

    Good Luck..
