What is the English name for these หอยขม

    หอยขม

The best I can find is pond snail or marsh snail, sinotaia ingallsiana.

I don't recall ever hearing of pond or marsh snails when I was growing up, is there a more common name for them in English?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this question into, if it is then please feel free to baleete it and I'll repost in the News section or something

Thai name - hoi kom, bitter snail/mollosk

    Filopaludina (Siamopaludina) martensi

Find them all over fresh water in Thailand. Plenty in rice paddies in rainy season.
