I'm posting from my phone so the pics are going be small
My old mum had died 3 years ago and we were on our way back to Australia to live there but she died about 3 hours before we arrived so we didn't get to say goodbye. My wife suggested we put half her ashes in the Mekong and the other half to Scotland to join my dads ashes, mum loved Lao and had visited a few times
So that's what we done
^I'm glad that Mrs BLD was able to do that for your mom.
Q1: how's your Mrs now? Is her condition better?
Q2: did you have to get a special permit to bring your mom's ashes to Laos? I know that in PH, there should be a permit, else the airline won't allow transport.
We were only in Lao for a month and in light of my wife's recent health problems I was finding it hard to relax at first but I needn't of worried her friends and family were a huge boost . We also got lucky because our tenant had decided to move out earlier than planned so we were able to move into our house and save a few bucks
It's fully furnished and has a pool which my kids took full advantage of ,
Thanks Katie,
She's improved a lot and is nearly back to being her old self, still medicated but she has a doc appointment on the 10th hopefully they will reduce it . She is still sleeping a lot and has really put on the weight, as far as a permit goes I think we needed one but I had the permit my bro used to take the other half of her ashes to Scotland to show if there was going to be any questions asked
Sorry about the shite quality of pics but I'm.posting from my phone
It's not only poor old Mrs bld that's a tubby coont, I certainly.indulged in some great food and drinks at insanely crazy cheap prices. We were getting 17000 kip to the dollar, great if your a tourist but damn sure the locals were doing it tough. I made sure to tip
