Vientiane Apartment/Condo/Accommodation?

Hey Guys,

My wife and I are currently in Chang Mai and will be coming up to spend 7 weeks in Vientiane form the 6th of December.

I have been checking out heaps of places online though most don't offer long term rates.

If anyone knows of any type of reasonable accommodation up to US$400 ish per month please let us know.

Also any sites that may be useful to search.

Any ideas appreciated.

unless u rent a house on the river and really enjoy a quiet life 2 months would be abit long, But if u take trips out of town.....

MY trips to Laos usually run around 2 weeks each and that's traveling by car an seeing the country

you dont say what your interests are but 7 weeks in vientiane will get quite boring , there really isnt that much to do or see , why not use vientiane as a base and check out other parts of Laos as well ? luang prabang. vang vieng etc.

If you dont already then you could take up heavy drinking and work on an impressive beergut

Plenty of short term apartments available though and you should be able to get something in your price range, Perhaps hire a scooter and drive around the suburbs for a day or 2 until you find something, Also a good place to look for advertisements for apartments is in the phimphone supermarket window.
