    Good updates mate!

Nice pictures! It's really moving forwards very fast now hey! Makes me wander how Vientiane will look in say 2025? Probably quite a bit different!?

Looking at these pictures I'm actually looking forward to getting there! My flight is booked for the 12th February so not long at all and a big new start for me!

Come on down dude, i reckon you will be staggered at how much is going on here since you were last in town. Laos has now been accepted into the world trade organisation (WTO) so things should move along at an even faster pace

Heres an artists impression of what don chan island and surrounds will look like

a Lao-Chinese joint venture.........meaning its Lao land and chinese cash

This is the old highland bar , knocked down to make way for the donchan riverfront development, The wood went into building the new one

Probably the most well known bar in town is the kop chai der, seems to attract a lot of punters but the beers rarely cold , so i never stay long

I'm looking forward to getting there! Not long now Lot's to do before I leave though! A lazy day at first and then time to fire on and try and find a job or get something of my own going.

Perhaps at some point you wouldn't mind meeting up for a chat and a beer? Be nice to speak to you in person as of course you've been living in Laos for quite a while it'd be nice to pick your brain if you don't mind?

You are obviously a man of great taste when it comes time to part with a couple of hard earned purple persuaders , they werent exactly oil paintings that lot . I suspect that the only way they get any punters tampering with them is if they are 12 parts pissed, i had a lucky escape by being only 11 parts pissed,

you are hungry for Big Mac and I am crazy hungry for a Taco Bell. You stand a chance of finding a big Mac but have to make a trip to the states for a Taco Bell.
