    Does anyone remember:

    Black Jacks and fruit salad.
    Pear drops

giving my sister a live frog
Mackeson by god it does you good

    just william
    Dandy/Beano
Nicking pop bottles from the back of the shop for the refund

More later run out of memory

    Anything jogged a memory?

Had a look at the Retro Tuck shop- remember most of them .
No mention of Tiger Nuts though ??
Anybody out there remember them ?

They were about an inch long and as thick as a pencil - tapered to a point at each end .
Brown with lighter or yellow bands around them - I can taste the buggers now !

    Four for a penny !!!

    That reminds me:
Women in pinny and headscarves (curlers underneath) stood at the front gate, arms folded, gossiping and spying on neighbours.

I used to get 20 cents to buy my school lunch. 10 cents for a battered fish with 5 cents worth of chips and a Razz for 5 cents. (approx 1970)
