Bintangs
I have some disturbing news. As I was trawling the Indonesian criminal code the other day, I came across the following:
Article 508 (bis)
Whomsoever, in the public eye and without authority, wears clothes that closely resemble the work clothes which are stipulated for government officials or officials who work for the country, for a province or for an autonomous region which has been formed or recognized by law, so that others may perceive him to be a public servant or government official, shall be subject to a maximum punishment of one month in jail or a maximum fine of four thousand and five hundred rupiah.
Is this the end of the bintang safari suit as we know it?
