I had an incident a few months back.

Just sitting on the sofa (in Australia), no booze (yet), nothing unusual, then things just started to get a bit blurry, shortness of breath, racing heart ... but no pain.

... and the weirdest sensation, sort of like the life was slowing draining away.

I googled the symptoms and one cause could be a heart attack.

So, because there was no heart pain, I didn't rush off to the hospital, just laid down for 10 mins and see if the regular heart rate was restored and the breathlessness went away.

They were reduced but didn't vanish so I showered, grabbed a toothbrush and went off to the hospital.

They plugged me into the heart machine and kept me in overnight for observation.

Couple of months later had my follow-up appointment as an 'out-patient', did an extensive ultrasound of the heart and hooked me up again and ... found nothing irregular ... much to my relief.

The Doctor explained what most likely happened and mentioned that it's not uncommon.

I've got 4,5,7, 10, and possible 3 but I'd have to find myself in bed with a pretty woman to check that one out. With five signs I probably should beware. It's time to start thinking about healht before things get to bad.

If unsure about 3 check for Alzheimers too
