There is a danish company wich could do !

Friend of mine joined at 65 - 66 and just a few month after they discovered a cancer, they took care of all very well...

2 years of treatment to Switzerland back and forth, then in Bumrungrad, he won the battle

He is now 73 and healthy, he is architect and built 3 houses since recovery, for his inlaws, and as far as i know the danish insurance is still covering him...

Actually BUPATHAILAND will insure you for life, which is why I have been with BUPA for many years and have refused to change to any other plan in Thailand (such as when an employer wants to cover you under their non-BUPA plan):
"Please note that members who join before the age of 61 years, and are continuously insured, are guaranteed renewal for life."
"Members who join after the age of 60 years and 364 days are guaranteed renewal up to the age of 70 years inclusive."

They have various plans but I use their Emerald plan as it is the most cost effective for me. Note the costs of all plans increase dramaticallly if you opt for out-patient service: the cost is minimal for outpatient service so I pay from your own pocket without claiming. Regards, Tango.

I have that bloody SSI insurance.

Last year I had the BUPA emerald but I decided this year to try changing.

I now have AXA hospital payment plan that gives me money when I am in hospital. and a Thai Health Insurance which is the lowest leverl one I could get. It pays Major medical though so it will cover 90% of my hospital expense over and above my allowance.

Thai health also has reptatriation so I can get back to my hospital in Chacheongsao where my SSI covers me.

    Mixed in with my SSI.

I used that guy Tony at E-Insure Thailand. He was really good with me and the missus and so far we are both happy with his service.

A friend just sent me this link:

    AARO-Association of Americans Resident Overseas - aaro.org

I know nothing about them but note that they do have a health insurance plan.
