Forgot to close one of the gates on the farm last night, spent about an hour chasing cow's through the fields
^ I thought only city people left gates open on farms!
Well I was'nt actually the last person to leave the farm, but with me being a man and all, it somehow seems to be my faultOriginally Posted by Lily
Having worked in the heat for the last twenty five years I know a bit about dehydration!
Forget the salt tablets, the Gatorades etc are nowhere near as good as they are made out to be - good advertising.
Plenty of "good" water - correct PH is the basic, add some sea salt, or lemon or eat Bannanas, coconut milk and the meat very good too.
Good green tea good.
There's not one answer to this problem as we are all different, we all have unique dna - what works for me may not work for you but definatley no "soda's"
Cheers
I drink water a lot at work at the moment. I don't know why then I keep going to a toilet every 1 hour.
Usually 3 to fours hours after going to bed, you will often wake up because of the metabolization of alcohol (and its sugars).Originally Posted by Goddess of Whatever

Gatoraid has sodium and some sugar, and it replenished electrolytes.
I usually don't drink more than 2-3 beers at night when I work in the mornings, but if I have a lot of beer and get dehydrated, the next morning, I drink a bottle of Gatoraid, and I feel a lot better.
I think it works faster than just drinking water.
............
I read that we should drink one oz of water for every pound we weigh.
Rain water[natural distilled] and RO water[forced thru an impermeable solid at 800 psi.] have almost 0 minerals in them, sea salt does have all minerals, table salt has no trace minerals of sea salt because when solar evap. of sea water is done, as soon as the sodium falls out then the rest is dumped and contains the trace minerals and takes a very long time to dry up.
So the rich brine after sodium dumps out is usually pumped to a chemical plant and mag. and all other minerals are harvested, and the sodium was just a by product of the rich brine process.
Gatorade, if you can stand the taste, is what you need, but there are other sports drinks as well that do the same thing..
8 Liters every day, or just yesterday?]
Eight Liters is a lot of waters.
You are likely excreting lots of minerals and sodiums out of you b/c of this.
Increase your sodium (salt) intake. (Possible mild Hyponetrimea.)
Also, you might try taking Mineral capsules at night before bed.
Also try "Gatoraid."
It's an old thread mate, at the time I was cutting about 1.5 tons of grass by hand a day during the middle of hot season.I started using those sachets of orange stuff mixed with the weter for re-hydration. The problem was I was swaeting the water out as fast as I was drinking it.Originally Posted by Milkman
