Prag, as others have said, watches don't seem to do a good job of measuring BP. I bought an inexpensive Xiaomi to track my activity and heart rate, it is fine for that. It uses an app to link to my Android phone and I can see the data from the past week or month. Also lots of different face designs to download. When I looked I couldn't find a watch recommended for BP but that isn't one of my problems. I have others, but my BP is a steady 110 over 65 so I didn't look too hard at that when I wanted a watch. There is a Xiaomi watch now that claims to measure blood glucose and BP, about a thousand Baht on Lazada. That might be worth a look.

I have an American friend who has been a serious runner most of his life, he still runs daily and has a BP usually 160+. It makes no sense at all.

Don't tell me when I am going to die. Tell me where, then I'll not go there. Simples.

I used to have a Garmin Venu SQ, well I still have it somewhere, but it will not charge up. The connection socket on the watch is loose, apparently that is not unusual according to some Garmin forums...and not cheap to fix when it is out of warranty. If I ever buy another sports/smart watch I would pay extra for a better one with wireless charging. That one did not do blood pressure, but I did use it mainly for heart rate while exercising, blood oxygen levels and tracking distance on my morning walk. I noticed the heart rate measured by the watch was usually completely different to that of my heart rate monitor on my chest shown on my Garmin bike computer while cycling.

Prag, the current WBMS bought a watch on Lazada last year. She thought my Xiaomi too expensive and she chose, sight unseen on Lazada, a ZL50. (Not the Casio model.) I just asked her and it does report BP, she says when she last checked at the hospital it gave the same reading as the hospital machine. As you can see, she has fairly high BP, for no obvious reason apart from cohabiting with me. For a few hundred Baht it might be worth a try. It links to her phone and she has lots of face designs to play with.

Picture 1 is their plot. Full chanote title for both of us. Our plot it to the right with the concrete wall. The height they've raised their side of soil is currently 80cm or more. Once the rains come the pressure on our wall will be as such that our wall will not cope with the pressure. We are down slope of the neighbours land.

Photo number 2 is not our land. It is a photo of what we believe how a retaining wall should be constructed to solve the pressure the wall will have to endure. And even then there's no guarantees. Our kraut neighbours had a chance to come speak with us way before they started construction. They didn't. So I hope the resolution leaves them well out of fcuking pocket. They must know they are in the wrong as they've already excavated half the walls soil that is causing the problem but for some unknown reason it doesn't seem a priority. They are currently living in Germany and have left their dumb fcuking Thai family to sort out the problem.

Yes I do have insurance. It’s the Indonesian equivalent of UK NHS.

I moved out of the caretaker position when Sanur went construction mad, post Covid. Moved to a 3 bed house in Denpasar. It s much quieter here and I will probably stay on now I have my 5 year retirement visa? Life is much easier now I’m on an annual rental contract.

I checked my watch and it does do blood pressure so I got a $20 chinese BP monitor for callibration

    Smart watch recommendation please-20240412_034556-jpg

But I like the Chinese ladies voice on the monitor that talks to you and the inflating armband is quite good fun so I might not even bother with the watch. Her voice is soothing and brought my BP down 2 points on my second go. But also seductive, and raised my heart rate.

    Smart watch recommendation please-20240412_035140-jpg

Just get one of these instead Prag and let Chinese lady soothe your systolic.

That’s a go straight to doctor. Your second reading was not much better - ideally you are looking to be 120/80. You need to ne on BP meds if over 140/90
