Healthy happy home life, enjoy careers, eat smaller portions, avoid financial debt, stay physically active but doesn't need to be excessive etc. While some can argue consumption of alcohol is a negative, it can also provide benefits in moderation. Also have to keep in mind family genes. Some are prone to issues regardless what they do.
I totally agree about stress and mental health being a big thing. I always stress or emotional eat, and that is something I have gotten better with over the years. A lot of women , perhaps men do this too. I try to go to the gym or do something instead of wanting to devour a bag of chips or something. In regards to drinking, I think it was proven a glass of red wine is good for you, but I understand the drinking in moderation for some people. I quit drinking, but may drink a bit once a year and that suits me. My dad drank his whole life and he's still kicking at 77, so people got to do them, what works for them. I am not a big judgemental person. Kudos!

Will probably go for an evening stroll around the park with a protein shake, E+E will probably go zumba dancing there, then back to the villa for a nice BBQ.

All in all a pretty healthy day and lifestyle I think. Here's to another 40 years of it.
Looks great, keep it up!! Loving the food pics and good banter!

I'm going swimming today and my fave thing to do is sit in the hot tub after for 20 mins., I sleep like a baby after both!

HNY TC my dear!! Yes, for sure, but they can be an addiction just like overeating, and often hard to break habits and addictions. All can give comfort and destress with!!
My dad smoked all his life, ended up with a collapsed lung and cancer, but stopped smoking, still drinks moderately, and still kicking at 77!

Being a plant based eating vegan is healthy. Tons of research and studies on how it can even reverse diabetes and other diseases.
I tried this for six months, but then ended up going back to unhealthy carbs and processed food, so I still mostly eat plant based, and eat fish now (pescatarian).

Started the pre workout with a full monty today..

Healthier New Year 2024 for All!!-69-jpg

20,000 steps and 10,000 kilos of push n pull shredding my lower back and arms, was time for a 280gram tuna salad ..

Healthier New Year 2024 for All!!-300gtunassalad-jpg
That's over 100 grams of pure protein in that one meal!

Next up, dryair fried chicken with a smashed avocado dip..

Healthier New Year 2024 for All!!-fingerlickingood0-jpg

I reckon I've breached the magical 300 grams of pure protein today with a respectable eight hours of cardio, who said work was good for the body and soul?

Next challenge is to find a glass big enough for this bucket sized ice cube, man's gotta have a glass of gut rot brandy

Healthier New Year 2024 for All!!-iceicebaby-jpg

Cheers for the inspiration MM, together TD fat fighters Club will be triumphant in 2024.

A healthy new year to all!

Remember pain is weakness leaving the body!!!

Research indicates that the human body can only process about 38g of protein at a time. It processes excess of that amount into fat.

I suppose that's why these professional weight lifters eat 6 meals a day.

Did you make your own batter or was it bought like that. Battered chicken even if air fried is high in calories I reckon. I was just wondering if you are counting your calories to lose weight. Drinking also adds extra calories, I am just trying to help and offer suggestions. Perhaps find out how many calories you need for how much you want to weigh first. In regards to protein, I found a good article on the subject that could answer your questions.

Here's How Much Protein You Need for Weight Loss and Muscle Gain

    ---

We got this, thanks Joe. <3
I'm always trying to find healthy alternatives to things that are higher in carbs/fat/calories. Have you heard of Konjac noodles? I add 100 grams to my stirfries and it is a root vegetable high in fiber, low in calories and carbs. My dinner tonight.

They don't have much of a taste, but they take on the taste of the sauce you are using.

^I've heard of konjac noodles but haven't tried it. "Felu fit by cooking" on YT is fond of using it (I heard it from his channel). He's an IT person by trade but his channel became successful during covid, I think. During that time, he worked from home & had time to modify recipes. I used to watch his vids but now I don't. I find calorie counting too stressful/ restrictive. I think Felu is still in IT but dabbles in YouTube - and yeah, he's fit. Can discern his abs.

    ******

I also stress-eat sometimes, usually chips (the packaged Lays type) or cookies. I know it's bad but munching on a bag of potato chips is more satisfying than biting a carrot! I only do it sometimes, though - when stressed due to work.

I am still at normal weight/ BMI & back to 50-ish kg, so all is well.

I was just thinking the same as I brewed my morning coffee and pondered whether to have a bacon and egg butty for my breakfast or head out and get a couple of pastries. Not one, but two pastries.

Yeah, denying oneself all year to then go and stuff oneself stupid for 10 days and end up back where one started.

Then do it all over again.

It takes commitment, that's for sure.

0g Sugar, 0g Fat, wtf is that?

Fat feeds the brain and sugar feeds the muscles. You need both in your diet to stay healthy.

And that’s your problem. Eating two cups of mayo based sauce with each meal to make up for the lack of taste means you’re consuming more fat than if you just ate a normal meal.

Plus there's no actual substance to it.

So, as the West Brom wanker said above, she inevitably ends up gorging when she is absolutely famished.

And back to square one she goes...

Was 78.x kg this morning, will be again tomorrow, and shouldn't see 79kg again for a while unless I see fit to bulk-up upstairs.

Saturday is kinda chill day, E+E did aerobics/zumba at home while I did 3 minutes skipping then abs arms and back x 6.

Then this nice delivery. The sticky rice went almost untouched.

Fried onion and garlic in there too. 2 x breasts, 2 x big drumsticks, 2 x sticky rice, and sauce. Delivered to the villa. Guess how many bahtski?
