Big Ol’ Mental Breakdown + Exhaustion.

Was relaxing at home on Saturday afternoon before planning to go out for the football, Edith and Edweena were out for the day. All of a sudden I felt like I was having a panic attack. Shortness of breath, non-resting heartrate, cloudy brain fog, immediate memory issues and feeling of doom (as if could pass out).

Went to lie down in bed and over the next few hours it was as if someone slowly injected a silicone sealant tube of chemical gloop into me cranium and my brain was just floating in this chemical solution of unknown substance. The rest of the evening/night consisted of very lucid dreams, and when I did get up to go the kitchen/bathroom would feel detached from reality, dizzy, and I think there was one case of auditory and possibly visual hallucinations.

E+E came home and not to freak them out I just told them I’m feeling super tired and have a stomachache. Which at this stage I had from not eating.

I spent all day Sunday in bed, lucid dreams, feeling blurry/dizzy/odd when out of bed. Drinking as much Royal-D Electrolytes as would fit inside me.

Was able to plonk meself in front of the TV to watch the UFC on either late on Sunday night or Monday morning. Slight stomach knot from lack of eating doesn’t help when actually trying to eating to get more food into me and up my blood sugar levels.

Monday evening I manned-up and drove Edith to KFC on demand, felt all blurry and dizzy and passy-outty in there but decided to fuck-it and take it on head-on, either put me down or Feck Off, you bitch ass mutha-fucka. Nobody in the vicinity gave me a second look, and Edith nattered and joked and played around as always, so I must have visually look sane.

This morning(Tuesday…. It is Tuesday isn’t it ) I was fine in the morning, up early, coffee feeling better, fantastic. The brain floating in chemical gloop feeling was gone, I prepped the bike for a 30-40kmcycle, then felt tired, then felt uneasy, then the brain-gloop-floaty feeling came back a bit and I went back into bed for a few hours of semi lucid dreams and that feeling that things are ‘different’.

It’s at a stage now where it seems to come and go for a few hours at a time (the brain sitting in gloop, + slight dizzyness + slight feeling of being detatched from reality, which sounds more extreme than it is ). Stomach knot = not quite able to eat a lot of food, or good solid food, so largely going through the kid’s supply of banana/strawberry milk cartons.

After needing to ditch this morning cycle for a morning of lucid dreams + sleep in bed, I planned to ride me motorbike up to the pharmacy around lunchtime (now) to buy a pack of Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid) which I read is best for cognitive health and all round brain boost, followed by a walk around the park, for fresh air and nature.

I have been caning it for a few months/years of drinking alcohol until late at night, then up early in the morning, maybe 5-6 hours sleep, then caning the gym/exercise to stay fit. I believe the term is burning the wick at both ends.

    Which could be it. Hopefully.

Anyone else ever go through a such a total mental breakdown?

Just been through several weeks of this. Weird, as I would feel low-key shitty, and then feel like what you described for about six-eight hours. Fortunately, I seem to over it for the most part and have felt pretty OK for the past week.

    Buena suerte.

...I've had 3 panic attacks to date...diagnoses from 3 US doctors: too much coffee (at that time I was drinking 2 cups in the morning and none for the rest of the day); too much long-distance travel (I was on holiday in the US and hadn't flown for a week); claustrophobia (I was on a plane.) I have no idea (and obviously neither did the doctors) what caused the sweaty palms, racing heart, feeling of panic, shortness of breath, etc. However, the last doctor prescribed Xanax and I was made whole...I haven't had another full-blown attack in decades due to this miracle drug. I would recommend getting a physical and then asking a local doctor for a strip of Alprozolam (Xanax) pink tablets (half gram) as a back-up in the event you experience these symptoms again...

    ...next up: kidney stones...

Nope. Not in almost 20 years. Alcohol only since then. Though enough XTC, weed and coke to drop that Welsh Druggie importer turn author guy, in me teens.

    I was in 2020.

Just went to the home medical box to do a test, but unfortunately it was negative.

Several weeks, damn. Glad to see you're almost over it. Did you get any diagnosis or prescription?

I just about feel ready to go to the pharamcy to stock up on vitamins, particulary Vit B9 and Vit C.

If you have had a nagging desire to buy a little red soft top car and dye the grey bits then its a midlife crisis and you should be out of it in 5 years, if you are a suddenly wondering what your sparring partner would look like when he's in the shower then PM TC or Switch, If you have a rash accompanying your other symptoms the you should stop partaking of the darkside and get Monkey Pox treatment or else its the manopause.

If you can get Xanax I know of an easy way of turning it into bitcoin.

Felt okay enough (still a bit dizzy and disorientated and brain-gloopy) to take the motorbike to the pharmacy.

Ferrotone gel caps - B12 7.5mg and Folic Acid 0.75mg. 10 pack, one a day.
And pure hardcore Folic Acid tabs. Folic Acid 5mg. 10 tabs for 10 baht. Hmmmm.
And good ol' 1000mg hits of Vit C.

Social interactions and all things social are a big no-no at the moment. So hopefully this shiz will fok the fok off quick smart. Cheers for any experiences/info/actual helpful stuff.

Folic Acid is a brain booster thing, right?

My dental licence has expired so I am unqualified to give any medical advice and never would online, so I suggest you have a thorough medical analysis at a proper Hospital, If want cheap McCormac in C Mai is ok, better in Bangkok my French Dr is great but not cheap.

    Online diagnosis could suggest

1 Long Covid tho this diagnosis is a work in progress
    2 Some syptoms of meniere's
3 You mention chronic substance abuse
4 I advise to make GP appointment today , have a full through medical asap
5 In meantime refrain from all drink drugs , masturbation, forum activity or driving in city which can cause anxiety, a bland monk's rice and veg diet can do no harm and will sustain until the dickectomy perfromed, Don't suck anything Minty, though vigourous cunninglingist may take your mind oorf IT.

    Get well soon

Did you ever have any bouts of something similar, but lighter, before? Or was this the first time anything like this happened? Cheers

Long covid is a real potential. I know a few in the states that after their run in with covid all went away but have recurring bouts with respiratory ailments and are lethargic. My Younger brother being one. He is currently recovering from his 2nd bout of pneumonia in the last year + after having a tough bout of Covid. Was in hospital for 2 days. Home now but doc says this will be a long process to get back to some normalcy

Get outside and get some natural sunlight for Vitamin D. B's are a good thing but not in high dosages like most Multi-vitamins do. Multi Vitamins are really not that good for you as they always have 1000% of RDA and if your body isn't lacking that specific segment then you are loading up your body. A good blood test panel will identify what you may be lacking. Then take focused vitamins. I stick with my big glass of OJ every day for Bfast. Then outside working and riding and relaxing.

Of course you could just have a good knock of whiskey every day like my GMA did who lived to be almost 100 years old. She ate a ton of red meat, real butter etc. .

    Good Luck.

First time I had such an extended period of feeling so awful. I thought for sure I had come to the end of the road.

I did go to the GP and he did a blood draw and urine test which showed nothing out of the ordinary.

So, I don't know. I do know I never want to feel like that again.
    pues, estamos aqui

Get a blood test for sugar levels and make sure you are not dehydrated. My wife's uncle had similar symptoms a few days before he died of a heart attack, although he did feint a couple of times. Go see a doc, better safe than dead.

    ^ Yes.

We're not doctors, could be many things - might be a serious issue, might not. Get a full set of checks at the doctor.

    Good luck.

That 'Log In Your Workout' thread can be easily changed to 'Log In Your Checkout', I'd have thought.
