Troy....do not be silly. Ol Eddie Cheddar is nursing this for every green he can get. I went in for a full boat physical and had the results with complete overview in 3 hrs ( I went to lunch and came back for the results summary). When ol Eddie posts up and says all is normal, then he is hoping for another flurry of greens saying " Glad to hear"

Why on earth are you bothering with all that quackery, Edmond? It'll simply make your piss a tad more pungent. Are you American?

    Vitamin C and electrolytes, indeed.

You've got a Covid infection of some type. The brain fog, fatigue and feelings of empty despair, and absence of hope, are classic indicators. I caught it last year, admittedly with the classic flu symptoms, but not all do however the symptoms I have listed were a notable and significant feature of the virus. Ok, personally, I think most decent, well adjusted intelligent folk should experience a healthy distrust of the human condition and consider happiness with great suspicion but that Covid thing was a real attack of the glooms.

Incidentally, liver function tests often take more than 24 hours to complete etc.

Possibly, if they have found a problem and wish to identify it more specifically. In general a problem will show up in the blood test and liver and kidney ultrasonics are include in my two yearly checkup.

Agree with Stumpy, Edmond is milking this, sweet fa wrong with him. 100 reds sent.

^ Some things done in the local lab are ready in a couple of hours. Others get send out and take a whole day to get the results back by email.

There is no standard medical test to diagnose Long COVID but your healthcare provider (e.g. GP) will be able to assess if you have Long COVID.

Odd MK. But I guess that would probably be dependent on which hospital one used. Most reasonably good hospitals have full lab capabilities.

This morning's bout has luckily drained away by about 50%

Still feel the heavy soaked brain feeling, but slightly less cloudy, panicky/edgy about it all and the feeling of disconnection with one's surroundings.

Off I trot to the doctor for full review of me testing.

I get my blood drawn at a local lab that sends some things out. CRP test, for example. Fasting blood test drawn locally saves me getting hangry while dealing with a big hospital.

"brain fog, fatigue and feelings of empty despair, and absence of hope, are classic indicators ..... "
.... of isaan induced expatitis, a feeling of being trapped along with utter helplessness brought on by overexposure to cackling and conniving fishwives and the gormless menfolk that inhabit those steaming inhospitable backwaters.

    its probably incurable.

although some have reported a profound relief from the symptons after a period of recuperation in a civilised country.

Mine took a day in BKK a month or so ago but that was from a clinic so had to send the blood somewhere.

    just sayin like -

So even if you're adult and can handle the 1,000 mg in each vitamin C packet or pill, just know that your body can't absorb (or, therefore, use) more than about 400 mg. This means that most of the vitamin C in that supplement you're taking just goes down your toilet (literally)

It's amazing that so many people are still giving medical advice and offering their sympathy.

Well, I do hope he took note of my observations. Frankly, I think he ought to book a one way flight to Switzerland.

Sounds reasonable. A clinic will have a longer turn around time than a decent hospital.-
