Thailazer,
I injured my left shoulder badly as a teenager when caving and it had always since given me some pain, especially when sleeping on it, but not enough to do anything about it.
Then, 30 odd years later I felt the shoulder go while doing some stupid job in the garden. After that I could no longer lift the left arm above 60 degrees and the shoulder clicked and jarred constantly, it was obvious something major had happened. And nighttime pain was the worst... I'll come back to that.
Ultrasound showed that the rotator cuff tendon had become almost completely detached from the bone and was just being held on by a few strands. This needed surgery for reattachment a there was no way it would just heal.
I had the op in the Bangkok Hospital, Bangkok at the BASEM dept, (Bangkok Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine)... this is a common sports injury, and I can't recommend them enough if you're in Thailand (PM if you would like the main surgeon's name).
I was under a general, but apparently there were four surgeons involved. The operation was by arthroscopy and I now have just four, 1cm scars on my left shoulder where they went in with their little tools. The edges of the tendon were completely frayed from my old injury so first they had to remove the damaged tissue, cut back to healthy tendon, then put screws into my arm to which they tied the tendon and attached it to my bone until it naturally bonded. They filmed the whole procedure for training purposes but gave me a copy, If you're interested it's below. I guess one of the four surgeons was the camera man.
My arm had to be completely immobilised for the first 6 weeks (I think) to enable the tendon to bond with the bone. My daughter was very young at the time and I used to take her swimming but with a T-shirt over my arm and I used a belt around my chest to strap it down. After the first six weeks they were very keen to start physio as soon as possible to increase arm mobility. The physio went on for weeks but gradually the pain reduced and mobility came back. The physio is extremely important because without doing it early enough you will lose some mobility forever.
A few years later I thought I'd damaged the tendon again and went back to see my doc. He was very worried but kept asking if I had 'night pain'. When I said 'no' he was very relieved and said he thought I'd just strained it a bit or something. Apparently this night pain is a big indicator of a major injury. I don't know why.
These days I prefer to sleep on my left side, the shoulder is completely back to normal but with maybe just a very small loss of arm mobility. I'm more careful about lifting stuff in the garden now, but that's more because I don't want to aggravate my old hernia (which I think may have torn again) rather than care for my shoulder.
Green given.
(Oh, and a red for Karen, not that he cares enough to have his av refer to them)
And you would be kicked on your arse for being a fuckwit who is so stupid it offends human dignity.
Sorry for your thread being messed up by Karen BLD. But I think I figured something out. Karen says she is a polymath, but I think all her life she has misheard what people were saying. In reality they are saying "potty mouth".
pot·ty mouth
nounINFORMAL
- a tendency to use bad language.
"she censored her famous potty mouth to make it a family affair"
- a person who tends to use bad language.
"angry viewers who assumed I was an out-of-control potty mouth"
Clearly you realise bld is not saying there is anything wrong with 'big tits'.
You are just fishing for salacious comments about your sad, saggy saddlebags.
A spinster pushing 50 years old, on the internet trying to encourage male strangers to talk dirty about her breasts.
How utterly pathetic.
Ive nothing against tits. large,small,medium
Saggy balls............Saggy ball bags matter!
Eh? What
Best not to comment...
Its incredibly painful
Cant cough or laugh without pain , despite them.giving me quite a lot of painkiller... hope i dont need to sneeze
A shags definately out of the question for a while. And its also turned out to be a good move having mrs BLD shave the family jewels last night incase of getting an inappropriate boner, which was a distinct possibility ,the nurse assigned that task would give a jellyfish a woody.

Ive just repeated the performance and managed to walk to the toilet with slightly less pain than the first time. Got a couple of hours kip in as well. Not looking forward to backing out a badboy when that time comes.
