Deep fried cod is not the kind of "fatty fish" you should be eating, Joe.

@joe - you're not a teenager or in your 20s anymore. It's good that you got yourself checked. Your weight to height ratio is OK, I think. Also based on your recent pics, you seem to be maintaining a healthy weight.

I think the normal range for cholesterol is up to 200 mg? If your reading was 300+,then that's high indeed. Time to make some lifestyle changes.

I think eating a lot of fatty foods the night before your test won't affect it much. Your levels are more of accumulation of the past weeks & months.

I had a friend who ate a lot of fatty foods the week before her test - her reading was 201 or 202 mg - she was shocked! Even I was surprised, since we were in our mid 20s then, plus she was slim.

I haven't been tested recently but my last reading for cholesterol was 120 or 130, I think. The week before our medical exam, I eat cleanly & exercise so that my stats are good. Lol. (But I don't eat a lot of fatty food anyway.)

After a week of oily fish every other day. Oatmeal for breakfast, a pear and apple as a snack. Also a gut yoghurt drink every day my energy levels have gone through the ceiling.

No bacon or sausages, tbf I don't really miss them.
They just make you sluggish. Weetabix on the other hand launches you out of the starting block in the morning like Usain Bolt.

In fact I'm considering painting the ceiling.

Not massive changes to my diet, but enough for me to notice a remarkable difference.

It's all about the balance of bad and good bacteria in the gut, seriously watch the short movie I posted above.
    It will change your life.

I shall endeavour to get my cholesterol levels checked again in a few months time and see the results.
    Shalom

Did you post the pic of your 'spoons battered fish and chips just before the pic of your huge cheese and ham laden pizza, or just afterwards?
