    arthritis

    i have rheumatism

think it's genetic and i mostly put up with it but it's getting worse

my wife has started to get bad joint pains all over her body and it's difficult to gauge pain levels but she has never complained as long as i have known her

what's the best holistic remedy that works?

Not sure if this therapy will work.

A friend is having treatment for other things but he also claims his arthritis and gout pains have improved since his first treatment.

and a paper on a randomised study of it vs cortisone injections found that PRP was very effective

Positive Effect of an Autologous Platelet Concentrate in Lateral Epicondylitis in a Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial

    Quote:
Conclusion Treatment of patients with chronic lateral epicondylitis with PRP reduces pain and significantly increases function, exceeding the effect of corticosteroid injection. Future decisions for application of the PRP for lateral epicondylitis should be confirmed by further follow-up from this trial and should take into account possible costs and harms as well as benefits.

Of course diet, being overweight, drinking too much and general health has a lot to do with dealing with gout and other painful ailments.

Injecting your own treated immune system back into your body must be better then taking synthetic drugs which is the normal shit doctors prescibe.

One bloke I know who was having PRP treatment for a bad back and elbows actually had a result with his erectile dysfunction problem.

First hard-on for 10 years or so he claims.

Riding the bicycle sure helps me a bunch.

There are many Ayurveda remedies as well.

Hot springs are also very effective.

Not bad for a bloke who is approaching 60 and fit as fuck as well and according to my wife mate. Everyone else thinks I am an ugly fucker.

Drink too much, smoke too much but do a lot of exercise which I suppose keeps me in shape.

No inhaling anything apart from Thailand pollution and tobacco mate.

We have a sauna which I sometimes use which does help to clear my lungs.

When I get home I cycle everyday possible it works for me and better than jogging which of course apart from causing injury introduces to more barkers than TD !
Luckily on a 18 gear bike I can outrun the dogs if not the trucks

A springtime trip to the USA to visit my kids. Probably cyclecamp a good bit of the continental divide trail. Going to build a tough tour bike for that; a Surly Troll with the S&S couplers. Later in summer visit France/Holland again on the way back to LOS.

    1) Get wifey to see a rheumatologist. There are a few types of arthritis, some can be fast acting , very nasty types.
    2) Gout is a large percentage hereditary.Diet can help, but in some people it means fuck all.
    3) Worst thing about high uric acid (Which leads to gout) is that left unchecked, it can form kidney stones....
    3)Check your uric acid levels

ye but it would certainly help, and if you do it in private no one is any the wiser, you don't have to smoke it, can make cookies etc.

Aren't you in CM main place for it.

I recently rode the bike from Chumpon to Chiang Mai, just over 1500 kms, took 3 weeks.
Some mighty nice cycling up your way, along the Ping river and some of the irrigation canals.
