    Jet Lag or ?

OK, it's been nearly a week since I completed my 34 hour marathon journey from Northridge CA to Korat TH. I'm sleeping fine; falling asleep and waking up at the normal hours. I feel great in the morning and manage my run and exercise routine every day. But, long about mid-morning I get this overpowering desire to fall asleep which seems to last for the rest of the day.

I feel like that until the late afternoon and have been spending most days just lounging about watching TV and composing mindless posts to Internet forums.

Is this just extended jet lag or have I become a lazy SOB?

I get massively sleeping in the late afternoons, especially if I've had more than 6 hours sleep the previous night. I've been like this for at least the last 8 years. Lazyitus probably.

Probably so. I guess it means that I'm finally officially retired.

Never mind. Turns out it wasn't jet lag at all. I was just coming down with a bad cold. This morning I have all the rotten symptoms: runny nose, sore throat, body ache, cough, etc., etc.

    Damn!

I fly from TH to the USA (or thereabouts) every two months and am fine heading out but I get the same going back to TH....

Maybe it is the fact that I am off work and have nothing to do but I can fall asleep in the afternoons easily.

Flying east gives me dreadful jetlag. It takes at least a week in LOS before I feel normal again. Then I get very drunk and don't feel normal again.
