More than a little insecure that you need to add others; is it because you think people don't respect your thoughts???Originally Posted by Diatonic
So, Subway serve the worst sandwiches in Thailand! This is just a ridiculous statement, ignoring the fact that they are a massively successful business and you are, well, who are you?
(By the way, your relative clause doesn't take away the meaning of your primary clause, your attempted defense is very predictable.)
Also, for me, and we could have a poll on this if you'd like:
Sandwich is pieces of bread.
Burger is a burger bun.
If I order a sandwich and it comes in a burger bun, I'd send it back.
If I order a burger and it comes in a couple of pieces of bread, I'd send it back.
You make stupid statement after stupid staement, Mr Diatribe.
Yet another stupid response. You can't even figure out what a sandwich is and now think the type of bread defines the sandwich. Total idiot response.
For the record, Subway makes shit food. Dukes makes some good sandwiches.
I just found out that the owners of Dukes, Subway, and Sunrise Tacos are the same people.
It is hard to believe that the owners of Dukes (good food) are the same as the owners of Subway (shit) and Sunrise Tacos (shit).
At the very least it tells me they are capable of producing good food.
No you didn't you found out weeks ago, it's just an excuse to say the same thing again about food in a place where you don't even live.Originally Posted by Diatonic

Total idiots! You belong in the Dark Ages.
Is it official policy to censor the views of posters that disagree with you?
Most of you are clearly biased in favor of Sunrise Tacos and Subway........that much is clear.
I suppose you believe they will one day sponsor TeakDoor. I can't think of any other reason for the idiot (Dark Age) comments.
You should be honest and state that posters can only say positive things about Sunrise Tacos and Subway.
Censorship is wrong! Forums are places for people to express different views.
Unsolicited, three people told me yesterday how much they like Subway. I really hope they send some cash or coupons my way!
So, you're saying that you're being censored now?Originally Posted by Diatonic

Subways is decidedly below average.
Sunrise Tacos however is often good, a few below par evenings, but daytimes are special.
Any relationship between time and alcohol content?
You know. I didn't think about that. Maybe...Originally Posted by Bobcock

Really.... Did you eat there when you lived adjacent?
I actually remember it not being too bad 5-6 years ago, but I don't think I ever ate there sober.
I've had 2 excellent fish and chips recently, the House Of Beers on Thong Lor and the new Irish Pub on Ekkamai (Scruffy Murphy's?)
No. I went to the Old Dutch if I wanted fish & chips.Originally Posted by Bobcock
Actually, I did try to go there once with a mate of mine and they had our plates out on the counter for 15 mins with the other customers nicking our chips. They then had the front to say that they had ran out of battered sausages after we'd been waiting for over 30 mins, so we paid for our drinks and went round the corner to the Kashmiri where we told them to cook us a proper vindaloo, not any of that Indian rubbish. Surprisingly, they did, and it's still the only decent curry I've had in Thailand that I didn't cook myself.
I found the kashmiri to have a terrible oily aftertaste.
Never went again, too many better options.
I hope you're not talking about that awful shite that Mrs Balbir vomits?Originally Posted by Bobcock
I had two very poor meals on the trot there, will not go back again.Originally Posted by Bobcock
There's a Himali Cha Cha opened on Sukhumvit round the corner from Soi 3. I use the one on Charoen Krung and it is usually decent.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog
7/11 toasties are ok. I'm enjoying a couple of ham, cheese and eggers right now.
Cambo in a few days where I will be enjoying some fantastic food, including some superb sandwiches!
Akbar, on Soi 3, use to be good. I used to go a lot when I lived at the Omni but haven't eaten there for a couple of years.
I enjoyed going there. The old boy was good to have a laugh with, but he didn't seem to understand that in order to make a hot curry, he had to put more chillis in it. He always asked if we wanted it not spicy, spicy or very spicy, but always delivered the same 'not very spicy' curry.Originally Posted by Humbert
