    Kam's Roast

...6th floor at Siam Icon: local branch of a HK restaurant ("1 Michelin Star 9 Consecutive years!")...strikingly delicious pork and duck dishes promptly served at a reasonable price.

...made in Samut Prakan: tasted similar to a Hoegarten...

...pea stems in oyster sauce and marinated mushrooms in sesame dressing (tasty stuff)

    Kam's Roast-s__26509325-jpg
...BBQ pork on rice: succulent meat...

    Kam's Roast-s__26509326-jpg
...roast duck and pork belly on noodles: flavorful...Kam's Roast-s__26509327-jpg
...extra side order of BBQ pork...it was that good...Kam's Roast-s__26509328-jpg
...honey-glazed soy beans...not a side we'd order again: chewy and leaning to flavorless...
Majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd

Most of the dishes look very tasty.

Though not as tasty as that delightful blue and gray chequered number.

It may appear to be quite similar, but it is a modern Chinese MG compared to a previous British MG classic.

Full of gas and chemicals, with the added disappointment of ringing in at only 4%.

As with the other similar different styles that the Thai breweries released around 5 years ago, the best that could be said is.... at least they tried.

Looks great, thanks , that snowy bear beer is my 7-11 default on rare Belgian visitors day far better than any mass produced Thai ale since Mitweida ceased.

Looks like a great beer and an excellent feed. Given it’s a 1star restaurant what were the prices like?

I regularly drank beer for 17 of my 18 years in Thailand.

Around 5 years ago it was good to see half a dozen different style beers pop up in all the 7s. 3 different companies had a weizen, some red style ales - Copper, Red Dragon? etc

Unfortunately they had them all at 4% and with the exception of the riceberry one, all gassy, chemical laden crap. Quite a shame, really.

Now there are Carabao and Tawandaeng, both have Dunkel and Weizen, I think they're 4.9% but could be wrong. Have had zero desire to drink one.
