It was about this time last year that I ran into a YouTube video by Dr. Jamnadas on the benefits of getting away from sugar and processed foods and doing some fasting. All my life, I have struggled with high blood pressure and fast weight gain so I stopped eating processed foods and also did not eat past 4:00 PM. I did a few 24 hour fasts in the the first two months and was amazed how fast the weight fell off. During those first few months, I drank a lot of ginger slices boiled in water to offset my hunger, but by the third month, I had no hunger at all. The body does indeed learn how to harvest fat when it knows the meals are not endless.

The results have been great. First thing I noticed after only 2 weeks is that I don't wake up sore. Too many calories cause very cell in your body to deal with the extra energy and inflammation is a result.

After one year:

-Man boobs gone.
-Weight has dropped from 215 pounds to 177. Lowest seen was 174.
-Blood Pressure is in the ideal range everyday.
-No joint issues or sprains.
-Sleep is much deeper.

I don't do any fasting anymore but I do try to get 16-18 hours between dinner and breakfast. I still drink too much Chardonnay, and I have even let myself have a few bags of corn chips occasionally.

Americans and most other humans consume way too many calories and once you reduce that huge intake, the benefits happen fast.

Check out Dr. Jamnadas, drop sugar, beer, and processed food, and get down to 2 meals a day if you can and you will feel great.
