    Tsuta Ramen

...a small Michelin-starred restaurant (so they claim) in Central World: 2 bowls of ramen, one with a soy sauce based broth and the other with more traditional pork bones, etc. Both were excellent and far less salty than similar offerings at Ippudo: soba noodles, pork slices, boiled egg, seaweed and a wad of seasoning. Very tasty. We also tried the gyoza (nothing special), endamame (added salt and pepper brought out more flavor) and a tasty small salmon salad. A mango soda for SD and an Asahi beer pour moi.

    Very nice Tom.

I dare say that even the most die-hard crisp sandwich eater of TD would eat those greens.

Looks nice Tom, were the prices Michelin starred as well?

...second visit..just as impressive as the first: two bowls of tonkatsu ramen, one with pork bones and one with black peppercorns. The salmon salad and edamame again...delicious. Not so good was the creme brulee cheesecake for dessert (not pictured): a microscopic piece of solidly frozen and nearly tasteless confection.

Extra points for the sweet pert buttock on the left. (Not yours.)

The salmon salad looks a bit smaller than first pictured when put in scale with the rest of the dishes.

Looks like a damn tasty wee lunch. Though not a fan of tables for 2. Especially when there are trays, bottles, tall glasses and side plates involved.

Looking forward to the PC Spring Collection.

There’s an Ozawa Raman in Pattaya and another here in Jomtien. IMHO the gyoza is pretty authentic but the ramen just doesn’t quite have the right flavor or good noodles.

Your noodles in the picture look like it might just have the authentic abundance of flavor. Shoyu miso is my favorite.

None … I don’t get out of the Chonburi and Rayong area much unless it’s to head up to Nakhonsawan and Phichit.

My wife learned to make pretty decent katsudon and katsu curry.

My ex-wife (Japanese) is the best cook ever of anything Japanese. Her gyoza is da shiznit … #1.

Not something that should be pictured IMHO... Crème brûlée is Crème brûlée and should never be the flavour of a cheesecake.
