Fortunately, my wife is happy to join me in my diet. When we married she weighed 45 kilos and I weighed 80 Kilos. In the 20 years since then we each gained 20+ kilograms! After covid I went back to 95 and am now down to 87 kilograms. I lost most of that weight in the week after my heart attack and have lost a Kilo every 2 weeks since then.

Having shed the major part of my excess body fat I expect that losing the next 7 kilos will be a slow process. I'll be happy if I get down to 80 K in a year and hopefully my blood pressure will get lower too!

I have continued to stretch and exercise every day and can now climb 4 flights of stairs without being out of breath.

Today's lunch: chicken and mushrooms with spinach, garlic and onions.

To lose more weight you need to get your body using fat. Check out fasting videos on YouTube from Dr. Jamnadas. To get your body to burn fat you have to stop the insulin rushes so that means no sugars and no processed foods. I normally only eat two meals a day now as I've been doing intermittent fasting since January. Lost 35 pounds and keeping it off. Many times I will just have an apple or an orange for a meal.

Try to keep the exercise up and consistent as well.

^ Hippos can run surprisingly fast, at speeds approaching 30 mph, but they can't corner very well. When I worked in Namibia I was told to run in zig-zags if being chased by a hippo, but thankfully I never had to put that advice to the test.

^ Ha! In my mind I picture a matador with his cape taunting a hippopotamus.
