Thread: A rat for you rats!

This wonderful meal is available from the roadside in Uthai Thai province. Have to ring the bell first.



What a bargain. Forget the pink apron and concentrate on the meal ahead.



Only 35 baht per rat. Place your orders now. These ain't city rats...

Are the rats trained to jump onto the grill when you ring the bell, or what is it for?

I have never had rat but the wife says it tastes like beef smells. And yes I mean smells because she does not eat beef.Oh and I am assuming that it tastes good.

Taste OK but mind you the two times I have eaten it I was pisst as a fart in the early hours of the morning.
And they look a little small compaired to the one we had to eat

Can't be worse than chicken or hog feet. Can it? Bleccch.

Not a bad dish! Hard to compare with other meats but I'd say it's close to lamb with an oily flavour. Won't say it is on top of my "To Try List.
