...I'd like to avoid blindness, if possible...
Happy birthday Tom.
ISO certified, so probably ok. If it's any comparison, Indian Old Monk rum is quite a good drop.
ENT would probably be able to advise being a veteran of neighbouring Sikkim.
I'd go for it with no fear for my sight, but no expectations of something like what the Japanese produce.
Looks like something Earl would produce.
Mmmmmm, slightly worryingly our friend googan seem to flag K5 Whiskey as the popular choice, ISO certification in any part of Asia stands for little. Lots of large Thai building Cos quote their ISO 9000 certification which wrapped around the metal fencing seems to do no more than stop you seeing the accidents happen.
Fair enough.
Tom can do his homework. There's a link here; https://advisera.com/9001academy/blo...cate-is-valid/
Give it the Lao Khao test.
Dip your finger into some wave finger in the air if your finger freezes your good to go.
Or that might be the other way around avoid at all cost if you don't want to go blind.![]()
Make a lamp base I wouldn't consume it for illumination though
'Essence of The Himalayas'
Sherpas piss
I'm intrigued. What is "Essence of the Himalayas"?
edit: I see Dill above has given his interpretation.![]()
Looks fine, drink it alongside some Mongolian vodka
If it does taste like Sherpa Earl Tenzing, you can always use it for whisky sours or other cocktails Tom.
Waiting for the official review from the unbiased corner that is the good TC.
Typical speculative wankers....
lest we forget "Trump said Ukraine started the war"
I would suspect it is similar to maotai
which is the most atrocious alcohol I have ever tasted - it would repeat for 2 or 3 days afterwards with any burp

What grain is it ?
I thought Bhutan was mountainous and cold so only potatoes, barley and oats would grow.
Bet you can't down it all in one !
Orrens
Isn't grain alcohol ethanol?
I'd say it's to be kept under the sink and to be used solely for encouraging guests to leave.
Or perhaps to take up residence on a nearby park bench.
Of course butter knees is another part of FORP LAY
^ he must have meant Methanol
What are the main uses of methanol?
It is used as antifreeze, solvent,[at]fuel, and as a denaturant for ethanol. The chemical is also used to produce biodiesel via transesterification reaction. Because methanol has toxic[at]properties, it is frequently used as a denaturant additive for ethanol manufactured for[at]industrial[at]purposes.
