Gilbys is not bad in a pinch or if you are on a budget. My favorite is Tito's...which you can now buy at Villa...of course twice as much as I get it for in the states.

I always thought the idea was to kill the harsh taste of vodka, either by making it so cold or adding so much to it the taste was overcome.

My youth was misspent on blue label Smirnoff...only because it was strong and cheap in the US military tax free shops.

Women used to love Vodka, Galliano and Orange in my day... Harvey Wallbanger ... Where I am in Thailand they have a lot of pomegranates so swap the Galliano for Grenadine and you have a similar classic....
