Yeah, but they're Russians. They catch bears with their hands and eat them raw.

Screw drivers in the daytime, black russians at night and bloody marys in the morning,,, if you have any voddy left.

I much prefer absolut over smirnoff. Grey goose is even better if you wanna splash out.

Steer clear of that Gilbeys gut rot

Will probably start with a bottle of Absolut. How much is Grey Goose compared to it?

^Unless you're drinking it neat, I doubt it makes any difference at all. Goose is more pricey.

My neighbor in Atlanta was Russian. When he went back he brought Smirnoff, the Russian stuff, and big cans of caviar. We used to kick back and drink it, as you said, ice cold with big spoonfuls of caviar on toast.

^Well, I've had them at Harry's bar in Paris as well, where the drink was invented and I thought they were not as good.

A Texan man was driving thru rural NSW with his Aussie chaperone when they passed a cornfield.

'You know back where I am from in Texas our cornfields are ten times larger then that' scoffs the Texan.

Next they drive past a couple of barns.

'You know back where I am from in Texas our barns are ten times larger then that'

They continue along when they pass an open field with kangaroos jumping about.

'What do you call those things' asks the shocked Texan.

The Aussie chaperone replies 'don't you have grasshoppers in Texas?'

    Grey Goose is beautiful.

    Very good neat.

Also goes fantastic half and half with feijoa juice.

This is the selection at the local Topski.

Never heard of Green Mark before. Imported from Russia.

    Gets good reviews.

    https://www.masterofmalt.com/vodka/t...dka-40percent/

Green Mark is a Russian vodka named for the seal of approval bestowed upon good vodka by the Glavspirttrest between the 1920s and 1950s. This bottle bears that very seal and the vodka within is really rather good too! In fact, in 2008, this was the best-selling vodka in its category in Russia!

    https://boozeguru.wordpress.com/2015...ka-the-review/

Apparently, Green Mark (aka Zelyonaya Marka) has been around since the 1920’s and Mother Russia has just gotten around to exporting it. I have only one thing to say about that: shame on you, Russia!

Which one is best, Smirnoff or Absolute?
Absolute is indeed "smooth" in taste but I don't drink it straight, so it doesn't matter. Stolychinya [sic] is popular. Not a fan of Smirnoff. A very common brand that can be faked.

Any Vodka drinkers on board that can share their method of mixation?
At a restaurant I visit occasionally for a meal after work, I order it:

Vodka with soda water - no sugar (in the soda water).

Tonic water about as much sugar in it as a can of coke.

Might taste bland, but it's a learned taste, kind of like black coffee.
