Good morning to you too, GF!

Am sipping my coffee leisurely before I do my chores.

I'm not a fussy coffee drinker, so I take mine instant. (Sacrilege to coffee fanatics, I know. Lol) I use 1/2 tsp of Great Taste coffee granules + 2 tbsp powdered milk. No sugar.

At the ofc, I have a stock of Nescafe 3-in-1 berry mocha. I like the faux strawberry taste. Heh. I only use half a sachet per mug, though. I find the full sachet too strong & sweet.

I can't even drink instant coffee these days. If I'm offered it, I'd rather go without, especially as it's often the awfully sweet 3 in 1 sachets they give you almost everywhere in SE Asia.

A full sachet of that is unbearable.

At some of our office meetings or conferences, they sometimes have different variants of 3-in-1 sachets. I usually just use half of a sachet, or share the sachet with someone. Some colleagues drink 3 or 4 of those things per day. No wonder diabetes is so common here. That, plus we have a carb-rich diet.

Oh, heart disease is common too, bcos of the oily diet, but let's not get into that. This is a coffee thread.

Cant go anywhere without my cups of English Breakfast tea, with just a tad of milk and no sugar. Lady Cow obliges me with the first cup or 3 in the morning. I do manage to add the eau de vache myself as lady cow tends to turn a civilised cup of tea into a milk drink with a dash of tea. I find as time goes by it takes much longer in the mornings to do anything more meaningful.

I still remember my first bottle of orange juice on the streets of Bangkok 12 years ago. Fucking hell. I nearly fell over.

I don't know any westerner who gets used to the taste of soft drinks in Asia, so you either swerve them completely or find someone who understands that mai waan doesn't mean 6 tablespoons of sugar instead of 7 in your cup.

edit: I can do the odd cup of teh tarik when in Malaysia, but it really is no more than once or twice a week and not 3 or 4 a day!

^^ Cheers, but wouldn't that make it a quarter pack once all the multiplication was done?...

And who wants to do all that thinking so early?...

    Heh...

We would have to find the lcd, or least common denominator, for sure. Heh...

It's not too early for me here, in the republic of balut. Lol

It's a nice day here - the birds are tweeting, cocks crowing (roosters, mind you), and no one is singing karaoke!

Gotta do stuff now. Cheers & have a good night/day!

    I think you're both wrong. 3-1 means 3 ingredients in 1 packet.

If you halve the quantity you are still left with 3 ingredients in 1 packet.

    Just saying like.

Anyway, for me I like bottled cold green tea (with honey+lemon) with my breakfast. The tea watered down 50% as it's too sweet otherwise.

Mid-afternoon and early evening a cup of Dilmah hot tea with creamer. Only problem is having to wait 25-30 mins for it to cool down enough to drink.

You mean you have a slight sniffle and it's actually a cold?

If you had the flu it's extremely unlikely that you'd be in a position to eat chicken soup or post on forums unless you were at the end of the 1 week to 2 week illness. You'd be in bed, unable to move, with a body that felt like it was being repeatedly hit with a cricket bat.

Most Asians tend to get this one wrong though, so you're not alone.
