Where do you source your cod and haddock from?
Where do you source your cod and haddock from?
where else
but here
Having read this thread, I thought I would give Curry and Chips a try.
I took a seat outside, at a clean and adequate table, and the service was instant. (Not much of a surprise, I appeared to be the only punter). I was handed a plastic-clad menu and a felt pen, so I could mark on the menu what I wanted. Good idea.
I went for the medium cod, (150 b), large chips, (95 b), bread and butter(2), (30 b) and a green tea, (25 b).
The service was fast. About 5 minutes later I had my order, and tucked in. The cod was fine. Flaky, and quite tasty. The chips, chunky and crisp, with no exaggeration were probably the best I've had in Thailand. (Though that is compared with piss-poor competition and pathetic french-fries). The bread was thick and fresh sliced white. Fine. I was expecting a small pot of green tea, or a tea bag in a cup, but instead got an Oishi plastic bottle and a cup of ice. Not what I had in mind.
The staff were friendly, the meal was more than adequate for my lunch-time appetite, and at a precise 300 b, not expensive.
I'd recommend giving it a go.
Been there, good location, happened to be easy parking as I was the only customer, fine service, liked the chips, wasn't impressed with the cod but that could've been an off day because it doesn't make sense to put it all together so well and then fcuk up on the main course.
Will certainly give it another run.
