I have a garden. I want to make a pond in it. I would like to calculate the future expenses for it. I know that I will need to buy a pump for the pond. Who can advice the technical characteristics for the pump?

Should I buy a motor for the pump? Or there are pumps that go with the mounted motor?
I'm in New York now. I thought that I could get some parts here and bring them home

I ‘m afraid the total amount for the pond equipment is more than I budgeted.
