^^^ They could be ashy wood-swallows. They like to sit on cables just before dusk.
Although, going by their feeding behaviour, probably not what you saw.

I really wish Ashley would swallow.
Whats that grainy pic I posted of a bird in flight? I assumed it was a birds nest swift.
I didnt realise there were birds nests collected in Thailand, the learning process continues.
An interesting site: http://factsanddetails.com/asian/cat.../item2429.html
Yeah, they are collected here. People build big 3 or 4 storey "houses" with no windows, just a few portholes and play recordings of the birds all day (to attract more). I imagine there are floors and maybe lots of walls inside. A few companies make big money buying from the farmers and on-selling.
I'm in Hatyai.
I will try to get the wife to photograph some as she is the photographer... I'm just a point and shoot guy.
Lets see if the quality has improved.
Saw this fellow upside down on a branch. Went home, got the camera, and he was still upside down on the branch. Took a shot from far off but it was no good and when I got closer he flew off, but I managed to get this shot.

^ Nice photo Neverna. What camera do you use?
I am struggling badly with my camera setup. I need a doubler/tripler, as suggested by Birding, as I can't get within 50 metres. I should have brought my tripod with me...next time.
