We have; literally, thousands of them (wild).

Have you ever a turkey? Cuase you’re gonna have to do it to everyone of them. Then market them, freeze them and transport them. If anyone gets sick from one of your turkeys,…you’re in trouble. Do you need all that?

It will be hard to compete with Butterball. But good luck if you do try.

Why are the thai related forums scattered on the inter-web FULL of foreigners asking things like this?

There's NO way they'd enter into something like this in their country, as in they have no experience, no idea of what it takes, yet they have no reticence in thinkin' they're gonna do it here and enlist the help of their extended thai family too!

Yeah those "Hotels In Bangkok" are gonna be lining up to buy their turkeys (at a premium) from a foreign turkey farmer in Nakhon Nowhere.

    The mind gobbles, err wobbles.

I dunno how much water your statement holds there buddy..

A quick Google of ฟาร์มไก่งวง (turkey farm) shows there's NO shortage of them almost ANYWHERE in the country. It would appear they're sellin' 'em to someone.

FWIW; here's a link to the "thai turkey club"..

Sadly for the O/P, I think the thaiz beat them to this incredible money making opportunity!

I think you'd be better off investing in a bar CCC

Why are turkey eggs so unpopular? Because they’re expensive. Chicken hens are egg-laying dynamos, dropping one almost every day, while a turkey produces only about two per week. Chickens begin laying eggs at about five months of age, but turkeys don’t have their first cycle until more than two months later. Commercial egg producers typically, although controversially, allocate less than 50 square inches of space to a hen. Turkeys are given more than 3 square feet, enough to accommodate eight chicken hens. Turkeys also require more food than chickens. These factors combine to make turkey eggs far more expensive than chicken eggs. A dozen chicken eggs currently cost approximately $1.61. (Cage-free eggs cost twice as much.) There’s no nationwide data on the cost of turkey eggs—the USDA doesn’t even have grading regulation for turkey eggs—but many producers sell them for $2 to $3 per egg.

I prefer roast chicken to turkey even on Christmas Day.

Turkey is too tough and doesn't taste as good.

^ You may be right mate but honestly I do find chicken more tender and tasty when compared to turkey.

Tradition doesn't control my teaste buds.

Probably, as you [and most others] know only of the domestic farm bred variety - a most consistent nasty product.

If you take off the legs, and breasts and half steam half roast, you would have a beautiful juicy piece of meat.

I had chicken of the KFC variety today. Ordinarily we cook our own and are unwilling to squander our money on it but today I felt the need to indulge. A victory for the Conservatives was the stimulus I needed to get a bucket and live for a few minutes like a lazy, drug taking benefit scrounger. It's good to see how the other half live once in a while. Who knows I may even go to bingo and get pissed tonight ?

The turkey farming adventure will end up with you turning up in early December to find, surprise, the snakes have eaten them all.
Dig deep into your pockets and replace the stock, help the Family out, it's not their fault snakes trespass all the time.

I drive a white van, have countless "inks", shave my head and never wash under my arms because they are my armpits and I can do what I want with them. I am rich enough to afford a quality skunk and have six pitbulls. The daughter is up the hospital now having her fingers stitched back on and when she gets back I am going to neck two flagons of 'Bow and go out and mug some bastard. Innit ?

I drive a pink bus in the U.K. Being a foreigner I am haggpi wit the work, it's bus driver for the Labour feminist bus, that is soo haggpi to address Muslim candidates, and except the audience to not be distracted by sex, so girls sit one side , and boys the other in a traditional Muslim environment in England.
Those fat Pommie pink bus Labour intellectual women of the year just won the Muslim vote.
