Thread: Drought? Water?

No doubt a few of us are experiencing drought..?

Was in our local market today and several local veggie vendors were asking the wife if we have water since most know we live up a mountain.
Wife told 'em we have no problem with water as have two wells etc.

All said "very lucky many problem in village" many times have to ship in water by tanker.

Seems the village below us and local wells are almost dry..neighbor who cuts our rubber with a real deep well says almost dry.

Now our wells, purely by chance I guess, are in the path of a watershed...one up behind house though rather low is about 300 meters from apex of our mountain ..other one about 1 km down below us is in a ravine that always has a trickle of water even in the driest of seasons and feeds eventually into a substantial klong hence always full almost to ground level.

Strange that locals do not think to sink wells next to a klong or in ravines...?

Dry season does not define drought.
