Ask the locals with the clean lagoons...see what they're doing that you're not.

    Hi Poorfalang,
we used to use a Durian solution ( available everywhere in rural areas where they sell fish, pig food, bulk rice, herbicide, seeds and other relevant products,
About 60 baht per container, just open and pour in.
We mainly used it in our dams, with fish in, to keep it cleaner, also does not harm fish.
6 or 7 containers = 10000 fish, quite a large dam, not sure on c/m forget.
Tried finding it on web..take a Thai person with you, they will know.

    Cheers

    Hi Poorfalang,
you buy it in a 2 litre container( think its 2 litre) then poor it in your water source.
I have been trying to find link, but everywhere sells it, in the country.
    Go to a seed shop.
Not sure how they extract the Durian, but it worked for us.
Necro99 is right about Catfish, as they are mudslingers, they really mess up the water.
    But a very hardy fish.
    Cheers

Put rice straw around the edges of the pond.

One of my dams in Australia took about 20 years before it cleared up.
