    The bbc did good drama-doc about the after math set in Khao Lak worth a watch.

    i was in phi phi last july and went up the hill to the area where they have alike a small shop thing up there and we got some great pics of the beaches...

    have to say we bought the memorial book and whilst reading had tears in my eyes, it was very touching and emotional and was the main reason i wished to visit as i followed it on our news here....will never forget..thanks for the thread

    Tsunami

    Thank you for the Tsunami pics. I was on Koh Lanta on the beach ready for a swim when the waves hit.
    Two hours earlier I was asleep (all night) on the beach.
    I ran and woke up my chum in our bungalow and we headed for the high ground - given a lift in a truck by a local girl. The locals looked after us splendidly. Cannot thank them enough.
    Every Boxing Day when I visit Thailand I go down to the beach for a few quiet moments and give thanks.
