    Nothing wrong with that . . .

Every supermarket has a non-halal section where you can buy your pork and other non-halal meats . . . you pay in that section.

Alcohol is sold and is paid for at the normal cashiers . . . the system works

Now wouldn't that be a blessing for the West. Think of all the health benefits. Savings for the government.

This attitude is what makes you an idiot and a PC nutter, why the hell do they need to have a bag to mark people when buying something? Go back to jail, it's where idiots like you belong.

No, those kind of comments are what makes you an idiot.

If I want to buy a bag of bacon in Tel Aviv what would happen? When I worked in the UAE they were quite OK with me buying booze but they wanted to regulate it. I have a feeling that buying booze is also regulated in other places, from the USA to the UK to Thailand until the present day.

When I was working in the UAE they were also pretty flexible about pork products, as long as we used different tools and implements to cook them. It wasn't a big deal, most of our Muslim staff didn't want to cook and handle pork or booze but they were cool about it.

The most recalcitrant and obstreperous people I have ever met who complained about food preparation on religious grounds were Jews from New York, they were making a huge fuss until the rabbi they brought with them told them to STFU and said that we were taking care of their food properly. But then again they were boarding a cruise ship with pamphlets that gave them tips on how to complain and get free stuff..

^ What he said. The reason the packaging is marked is so that the Muslims ( and Malaysia is a Muslim country) don't handle the non-halal meat or pork.

    Religious tolerance and understanding?

Which is usually what uneducated bigots demand of the muslim world.

    Quite ironic really.

btw, anyone notice this amusing picture thread has kinda turned... Still amusing, just not so many pictures.

    What point am I missing?

Why not have supermarkets separate stuff for the customers who want it that way? It happens here in Thailand and there were separate sections for Western shoppers when I lived in the UAE. How does suggesting that a system that works make me a "fuckstick" or a "pc nutter"?

I also think that the procedures for Halal slaughter are pretty much identical to those instructed by the Torah?

geezzzeeee...I live in Malaysia and my pork is bagged in the same bags as all the other goods. I do have to pay for it in a different section of the store...but that is it. No "scarlet letter" type bags that I have seen!

Well, if Mr Eliminator had his way you wouldn't have to worry what kind of bag they gave you because the whole Muzzie ridden Malay peninsula would be bombed out of existence.

How dare you post this type of heresay! You are obviously a mussie-loving, terrorist supporting, allah-worshiping scum to write something like that! Mussies are evil, murderous, fanatical animals and it is impossible that you can survive in a mussie country like Malaysia without being one of them.

Seriously though - worked there for 3 years and loved it - great country with great people! I guess them mussies brainwashed me.......

Would you prefer not offering pork or any other kind of non-halal meat or alcohol? That would be discriminatory and God knows there is enough discrimination here and everywhere

That clearly is unacceptable for the likes of Eli, the gay Jewish bikie

It goes further than that, Mao. In Eli's case, and many others, it is more thna a religious thing - - - all Muslims are thrown into one pot

I guess the only way we are not PC Nutters is by belonging to the same mindset as those that are free-thinkers, like Eli
