James Isbister said he would keep trying to catch an even larger fish
A Shetland fisherman is celebrating after reeling in a giant fish weighing more than 67lbs (30kg).
James Isbister caught the 6ft-long ling while fishing off Muckle Flugga on Saturday.
Mr Isbister is awaiting confirmation from the relevant authorities of its possible record-breaking status.
The fish is currently being kept in his mother's freezer. "It was a very big fight," he said.
He said he would keep trying to catch an even larger fish.
He told BBC Scotland: "Muckle Flugga is renowned for big fish.
"It took about 20 or 30 minutes.
"I knew it was a big fish but I didn't realise it was that size - I am 6ft 5in and it's as big as me."
Mr Isbister added: "It's in my mum's freezer. We had to make room for it, it fills the whole freezer.
"I am a local celebrity at the moment."

Kate Hopkins didn't know the man in the casket, never met him or his family. Yet, Hopkins stood watch over 48-year-old Francisco Carmona's funeral on a gray, cold day at a county-owned cemetery in south Louisville.
Hopkins joined a group of high school students, a few county employees and a deputy coroner on Feb. 6 to ensure that Carmona, who died in January in a Louisville hospital with no family or friends, had a service — the 91st service for the poor in Louisville since Nov. 1.
Counties across Kentucky, like much of the country, are seeing more cases of unclaimed bodies and families who can't afford to bury or cremate a loved one.
Every situation is unique, but coroners and local government officials tell a similar story: The economic downturn has left many people without the money to pay for funeral services that can cost thousands of dollars, and it's falling on cities and states to cover the bills.

'Three dead' in Swiss shooting
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/02/3427.jpg
Footage from the scene shows the area sealed off by emergency services, as Imogen Foulkes reports
Three people have been killed and seven injured during a shooting at a factory near the Swiss city of Lucerne, local media quote officials as saying.
The killer is among the dead, police and prosecutors are reported as saying.
Shooting broke out in the canteen at the Kronospan wood processing plant in the town of Menznau at around 09:00 (08:00 GMT).
Police and rescue services are at the scene and the entire area is currently sealed off.
"The workers were eating a snack in the cafeteria during the morning, and there was a massacre," said a man quoted by the Swiss news website 20minutes, who had phoned the factory to check on the welfare of his father.
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/02/3428.jpg
An emergency telephone line had been set up for families of the factory's employees.
"There were three dead and seven injured, some of them seriously injured," prosecutors' spokesman Simon Kopp told Swiss newspaper Blick.

Maldives girl to get 100 lashes for pre-marital sex
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/02/3429.jpg Rights groups have urged the government to abolish the punishment
A 15-year-old rape victim has been sentenced to 100 lashes for engaging in premarital sex, court officials said.
The charges against the girl were brought against her last year after police investigated accusations that her stepfather had raped her and killed their baby.
He is still to face trial.
Prosecutors said her conviction did not relate to the rape case.
Amnesty International condemned the punishment as "cruel, degrading and inhumane".
The government said it did not agree with the punishment and that it would look into changing the law

Man killed in New Zealand shark attack
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/02/3430.jpg
Aerial footage appears to show the shark shortly after the attack
A shark has killed a man off a beach near the New Zealand city of Auckland.
The attack took place around 13:30 (00:30 GMT) on Wednesday at Muriwai Beach, to the west of the country's largest city.
The 47-year-old man was swimming when he was attacked. Police shot at the shark before it disappeared, they said in a statement.
Shark attacks are rare in New Zealand. Only 11 fatal attacks had taken place since records began in 1847, TVNZ said.
The last confirmed shark fatality was in 1976 in the Bay of Plenty, south-east of Auckland, it said.
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/02/3431.jpg
The beach where the man was attacked has been closed
A police statement said that the man suffered fatal injuries in the attack.
"Police and surf life savers went out in two IRBs (inflatable rescue boats) and fired on the shark. It rolled over and disappeared," Inspector Shawn Rutene said.
The statement said the shark was thought to be about 12-14 feet (3.6-4.2m) long.
Fisherman Pio Mose told Stuff news website: "All of a sudden... we saw the shark fin and next minute, boom, attack him, then blood everywhere on the water."
Mr Mose said the man was still alive when "we saw another attack pull him in the water". Other local reports also said more than one shark may have been involved.

Rebecca Leighton: Nurse suspended for stealing drugs
https://teakdoor.com/images/imported/2013/02/3435.jpg
Rebecca Leighton admitted removing medication
A nurse cleared of poisoning patients at a hospital has been suspended for three months after admitting taking drugs from the site.
The decision came after a three-day disciplinary hearing for Rebecca Leighton, 29, who worked at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport.
She has been suspended from nursing by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Ms Leighton spent six weeks in jail but was freed as there was not enough evidence against her.
She was questioned in 2011 by police investigating the poisoning of 22 patients, eight of whom died.
The charges were later dropped but she admitted stealing drugs and medicines from the hospital.
She is currently working at a care home in Stockport
