Photographer Hyeongchol Kim captured the moment while photographing birds on the plains in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.
According to Caters News, the photographer was stunned when he saw the smaller bird swoop in on the eagle and perch himself on its back.
He said: "I saw the crow flying towards the much bigger eagle, and prepared myself to capture the fight on camera. However, the bird just hovered above the eagle for a few seconds - and then appeared to just latch onto his back.
"The eagle didn't seem to mind at all - I think they must have been friends."

Two brothers, ages two and four, died alongside their mother and grandfather when a fire broke out in their home today in the early morning hours. Though firefighters were able to get the blaze under control in about 30 minutes, it wasn't fast enough to save the lives of the family. Firefighters found no evidence of a working fire alarm in the home, which might have warned them in time to escape. The boys' father apparently tried to rescue them when he returned home from work, but was beaten back by the intense flames.

Morocco's Solidarity, Women and Family minister Bassima Hakkaoui, the only woman in the new Islamist-led government, speaks during a debate about underage marriage in parliament in Rabat on April 16, 2012, next to Justice minister Mustafa Ramid.
Morocco's parliament has been debating a controversial law that allows rapists to marry their underage victims after the suicide of a teenage girl last month raised doubts about the effectiveness of reforms to women's rights brought in by King Mohammed VI.
The North African country's Islamist-led government has been urged by human rights groups to amend article 475 of the penal code, which allows a rapist to marry his victim if she is a minor as a way of avoiding prosecution.
Sixteen-year-old Amina El-Filali killed herself by swallowing rat poison on March 10 after being severely beaten during a six-month forced marriage to the man who raped her.
