More than 300 buses carrying PAOK supporters from the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki were stopped by police at a toll station 34 kilometers (21 miles) north of the capital Athens. Police, fearing clashes between rival fans, has been directing supporters to different gates of the stadium several hours before the game's start at 8 p.m. local.

Filipino protesters burned an effigy of President Barack Obama in Manila on Monday as the U.S. signed a deal that gives its military greater access to Philippine bases.
Some 800 activists burned mock U.S. flags and chanted "no-bama, no bases, no war" on the road leading to Malacanang Palace, where Obama met with Philippine President Benigno Aquino III. The effigy showed Obama riding a chariot pulled by Aquino, who was depicted as a dog.

The Tough Mudder endurance race, considered one of the toughest assault courses ever devised, took place over the weekend in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire. The course is set out over 10-12 miles (18-20 km) with 20 obstacles including muddy hills, sheer walls and a pool with electric shocks.
