When did that place start closing early? I remember coming out of there most nights just in time to see the sun rise.Originally Posted by dirtydog

^ me too. I wanna look at some condos there so i can kill 2 birds with one stone. (in a non Smeg kind of way )
Shame I had to leave for my flight very early on, but it was great meeting those who I did manage to talk to - all nice people. Anyway, if I had stayed until the early hours I would've been very ill as I'm a wuss with booze. I'd already met a few TDers in Ayuthaya - cheers for a great trip, Marmite. Look forward to going back again and taking some diving tips from Ken.
^Are you the Jon that used to - and maybe still does - post on Ajarn back in the good/bad (delete at your choice) old-days? If so, I'd just like to say that I'll never forget that weekend we shared living in that treehouse; you're quite a dancer - If it isn't that Jon then please ignore (and prefeably forget) what I have just written. Thanks.
Back off Margaret, you're on a sugar rush!
Bummer, no meeting in Korat in Feb. then?

Thai Wife and I were at Suan Lum on Friday, but like buadhai, we also bugged out before meeting anyone. My 'excuse' was a case of "Bangkok's Revenge". We did make it to the Saturday affair, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting the TD members. I can see by MtD's list, I missed meeting a few people though. It must be due to my hugging the large bottles of Singha.
I can't say I'm proud to admit it, but when asked who got the most pissed, I don't recall going back to the Hotel after the Go-Go place. Thai Wife saved my butt again!

Aaaaw, I wish I had gone to the go go place, now.
another cruising link in Jomtien area :
daycharter
The Catamaran can accomodate 60 people, no mast, not sailing, going on motor only...
BBQ,fishing, etc...
Geeez; how many people would we lose overboard?

Although I would like to meet up with some of the good folk here, I am similar to Buad in that there is no way on God's Earth you would get me to turn up at a mass-meeting - I suspect that I would freakout in the doorway and just stand there and mess myself. Perhaps us shy folk could be given our own little curtained booths where people drop in one at a time to say hello. I've seen such booths in many bars in LoS and have always thought it thoughtful of the bar owners to cater for the shy.
agreed Danbo, I chickened out after an hour the other day
mind you, the gogo bar had lots of strangers who were very friendly too
seemed easier there though
It is the equivalent of meeting your favorite porn stars at an Adult Movie convention, a lot of excitement before the show and then some disappointment when it's over

I had an enjoyable evening and I'm obviously not as shy as I thought I was.
After leaving I may have gone into some gogo bar (I'm admitting nothing) for last beer and I may have had a ring side seat while some young ladies were doing rude things to each other with a variety of liquids including, but not limited to, beer, milk and baby oil. Anyway I think I should be able to get my clothes clean eventually.
The evening had a strange cow overtone which I regret I was not fully able to participate in; my knowledge of bovine reproductive functions being somewhat limited - I do however, unlike some, know which orifice does what.
Mainly for Random Chances, I feel this little ditty may be appropriate

Don't forget the Phuket memebers when fixing dates for TD meetings - Hua Hin is sort of in the middle
Lord, deliver us from e-mail.
