I have been to Birmingham for the day. I try to get out to the provinces once in a while; it cheers up the troops and helps them cling to the notion that they are valued members of the bank community – more importantly it gives me a chance to catch up with the newspapers while I'm on the train.
I am reading up about this Abu Hamza chappie. What a sad tosser he is by all accounts, the only sadder aspect being that he seems to attract a crowd of ne-er do wells who drink in his drivel as if it was mother’s milk.
I understand that he is charged with, amongst other things, being in possession of instructions on making explosives. I do hope he was intending to pass on his valuable experience in this area to his acolytes. Although anyone with a grain of sense would bin any instructions supplied by a man whose own success with explosives has been limited to blowing both his hands off and one of his eyes out, as soon as possible.
I can’t help but feel that if only Hamza had been fitted with a prosthetic masturbatory device instead of hooks, he would have found far more productive ways to spend his time.

Went to Atlantic City today. I won $75 on the craps table and my friend won $270 (made some crazy field bets that paid off). We celebrated by getting the biggie instead of regular size at Wendy's. So keep your daughters at home, two wild and crazy guys are on the prowl.

The boss just talked to me (again). He said he knew that I was bored about what he just asked me to do for him. I just said "Yes, I'm bored". He said sorry for that and he will adsign me new things tomorrow.

What a nice boss!

I think he saw that I visited http://www.jobdb.com that's why he said that.

I sent some e-mails to other companies but my friends said that didn't work because they didn't check their mail box often, better just walk in there and apply. I'll do it one day.

Anyway, today I prepared an application mail and I think I'll send it tomorrow. Just want a chance for interview, that's it.

9ish already!!!! Go home now.

Good afternoon board,

after a number of months of looking at this strange thread titled good morning / evening i thought I'd actually have a look at it!

Y didn't i do so b4 ???? wot a great thread.

today I juz been flat out with work stuff - in between surfing and generally wasting time online - what did i do b4 internet ? I dunno but it must have been productive.

Younger brother just called me looking for somebody who lives in Swan Hill - I used to live there so managed to hook him up a contact.

I also just applied for a new job in BKK (which I knew was coming up - but i figure I'm about a ha-sib ha-sib to get ) I've also got a strong possiblity of a job in Hong Kong - but i think the girlfriend is not so keen on that option, though she has said she'll try it out for a few years if need be.

I've a busy few days ahead of me 'cos I'm running a conference/workshop starting tomorrow (bit of fun, but means no weekend!

)

mai pen rai - i guess that's y i get paid the big bahts!

anyway goodevenign/night all - i'll see u all when i get the chance ( which prolly wont be much over the next few days! )

Today I went to language school, it was a hard lesson because classifiers always are.

But the boss of the place had a talk with me today and gave me a job offer for when I reach my birthday. She told me I'd have my own room on the top floor and she and the other teachers there would like it if I started teaching and they'd provide me with some training and a work permit.

I don't want to be a teacher for the rest of my life but I could use this to my advantage to learn more Thai and just for the experience really. After all I'm only young and I've got plenty of time to think about journalism later in my life. Besides I'd have my independance again if I moved out of home and my Dad really likes the idea and thinks I should give it a go and the door is always open for me if it dosen't work out.

Just a bit unsure though.
