Absolutely disgusting, don't these people feel shame for voting for their own pictures, I suppose to even up the odds I will also have to vote for my own picture, not that I want to mind you.Originally Posted by Loy Toy
I didn't realise that marmers.
Then I am happy I didn't.

Actually I would have had zero without voting for myself .
I just voted for my one.
As I now have a new nick, can I vote for it again with my original nick or would I be disquallified?
Cheers.
Your chairman mao vote will probably be deleted anyway.
yep just checked the rules.
You were a zero post count when you voted.multi niks and zero post count posters will have their votes deleted,
Why? Can't I have a new nick if I don't use my previous one again (Unless I need it to claim a prize of course).

^ i don't think the pic is all that fantastic myself. The area photographed is, the scene impressive, but the shot as a photograph mundane. I am surprised That it is getting more votes than bustaK's shot. Thetyim's & bustaK's photos take the mundane and present in dramitc ways.
These scenes, as well as Macha's and DurianFan's show a photographers eye, taking the shot that many of us would have walked by. They used framing, and good photographic skills to capture the common scene and present with an uncommon perspective.
MAcha deserves a helluva lot more than 6, although I think the lead photo deserves it's position.
many great photos, but I voted for the one I thought was the best & that's hands down Thetyim's photo of the farmers.
If he's not posting why not just take him out. I didn't realise thats all he did and i voted for him. I also scrolled past thetty's without looking at it properly and didn't vote for it.Originally Posted by Marmite the Dog
Now i've looked I think its the best. Could someone who hasn't voted stick one in on my behalf?
click onteh vote number shoud show who did what to whom
For everyone that thought their photo was crap and had to vote for it themselves:
buriramboy
Fabian (only 1 vote, their own)
Megahorn
chitown (only 1 vote, their own)
Nawty
dirtydog
jizzybloke (only 1 vote, their own)
Marmite the Dog
Thai Pom
durianfan
Some of the guys even knew their shots were crap and had the decency to not vote for themselves resulting in 0 votes. Then we got the guys with only one vote which they cast!
I thought mine was no good compared to the others so didn't vote for it.

Did I? That's a bummer.Originally Posted by bustak
Agreed, but many people refrained from voting for him because of him, rather than the photo I reckon.Originally Posted by friscofrankie
I think Bobcock's piccie is worth a mention as well. It really captures the atmosphere well.Originally Posted by friscofrankie
I just noticed the full glass of beer in Spin's photo. It's down near his feet duringthe wedding rites. Lucky bastard, all I got at 6am during my friends ceremony was shot, after shot, after shot, of lao khao.
Nice one.
Congratulations to all, an excellent display of photography as an art.
Tough decisions on a couple. Wasn;t surprised after voting to discover whom was leading the contest. Well Done.
The most interesting thing about this exercise was noting the differing perspectives of the photographers. It is pretty obvious in a lot of cases the photographer was after a very succinct point of view.
It looks like we also have a large amount of 'Darkroom' professionals that can further enhance their desired effects.

If thats the case with Ballmers knock my vote off if I voted for him, cant remember. Thetters photo is my fave.
All the entries were winners in their own way so hat's off and greens to all. Could have voted for all but my own. Instead I voted for just one. Not an easy task as there are several excellent ones.
To me the two best for subject, composition and photographic skill were Jasonbalmer's Balloon at Dawn and Thetyim's Rice Field.
Opted for Thetyim's Rice Field. Probably because it is something I see everyday out my backdoor and I sure couldn't have captured the scene as well as Thetyim.

Just voted for Bobcock for his well composed, sharp and journalistic shot.
What's wrong with Ballmers pic? I voted for it, is there some sort of speculation about something going on here?Originally Posted by melvbot
