Thanks for buying . Of course the introductory price only lasts for one more week.

Have you any idea how much research went into this book. Years and years of pouring over archives and history journals, and don't even get me started on the booze! If you knew how much moonshine I've had to drink to get this thing out you'd have me committed.

And the miles and miles of touring the land on my trusty motorcycle - to immerse myself, to feel at one with land and the people.

Let us know when it arrives at that most hallowed of book stores - the gas station bargain bin.

He's actually in Barbara mode at the moment.

He's all spandex'd up, wondering about the Mall looking for an open boozer.

    It's a bike thing

Barbara doesn't drink ten pints of strong lager in the pub before eating half of a kebab shop - aka, my Monday evening. Work today was extremely fucking unpleasant.

After last night's indulgence you aren't far off the mark.

Need to get my head straight - I've entrusted a bottle of Echo Falls cab sav to take care of the job.

So when do the family arrive in Blighty. That'll be another adventure to write up about.

I really do wish you all good happy times.

We're caught in the passport application backlog, Pats. Sucks.

    See this image.

One of these causes violence and heartbreak and sorrow. It brings grown men to their knees - please, please release this family from your evil clutches. Can you not see you're destroying us?

And the other is a bottle of award winning lager.

    About the author.

Tom Samslap was born in the north of France, Kent, in either the seventies or eighties, depending on which parent you believe.
He spent most of his early primary school years on his hands and knees because of alcohol abuse and a penchant for peering up Mr. McTavishes skirt.
His first recorded literary masterpiece was reduced to ashes after an arson attack on Mr. McTavishes classroom, but was believed to be a cutting piece, carved into a desk - "Tom Samslap loves the cock".

After a highly successful and busy four year career as a toilet trader in and around London, Tom counted his pennies, borrowed the cost of a flight to Australia, got pissed on the plane, and got off at Bangkok by mistake.

In Swampy airport he was befriended by a tall Thai girl with huge hands and a voice like Lee Marvin who whisked him off to the island of Samui where he tried his hand at pretty much anything.
Still not seeing a single kangaroo, Tom headed north to the outback.

Some ten years later, Tom has returned to England, where his psychiatrist has been given permission to share the outpourings of his tortured soul in the hope that he may save others from a sore arse.

^^ You forgot about the bit where he met a mad northern bestialitist who drank lao khao through his eye balls and could pass out whilst standing, standing, up.

^ And you can belt up, Betsy, lest we delve into your goat clad in spandex fetish.

But you're forgiven, Betsy, due to reviewing the book on Amazon (I think it was you), and a big thanks to whoever else reviewed it too - means a great deal to this youth festering under the grey skies of Blighty.

In the meantime, here is a picture of an ants' nest. People in Isaan eat ants' nests. They also eat bugs, and on occasion, domesticated animals. Read about these people, and the sustenance they consume, here...

I paid a whopping $7.61 for that short read. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Amazon.com - the American version (that's the one my CC is registered with). Never mind the $7.61, but I coulda read another 200 pages of your (mis)adventures up in the Saan.

Get back to Thailand/Asia pronto, and keep writing. Blighty aint got much to write about, and there aint no Lau Khao (sp) there.

I got it off of US Amazon about ten days ago for $4.99. Maybe with a huge volume of sales, they've jacked the price.

I've got 12 years worth of Lau Khao addled adventures to regale. But you're right, I shall be returning to the Saan at the nearest possible time.

It seems Amazon are a rule unto themselves at set random prices whenever they feel like it. Was £2.50 t'other day.

    In the meantime...

Meet Por. He is 67-years-old from Isaan.

His favourite food is slow-roasted rat with a random jungle pluckings medley

His hobbies include sweeping and drinking and smoking and drinking and hurling nonsensical obscenities into the wind... and drinking.

Por can be found in this book and will stamp it with his seal approval if you visit him in Isaan... the Lau Khao's on you, buy the way...
