One for the conspiracy nuts:
A 1943 photograph showing Hitler, a Nazis Officer, and an alien known only as “V”. It is reported that the alien had to use a special gas mask because he could not breathe on Earth. Hitler captured V and used him to develop futuristic weapons such as the V-2 rocket. After the fall of Nazi Germany, the US captured the alien and used him to develop military weapons. The story goes that V is still living today in Area 51, and continues to help the US in futuristic warfare such as cloaking devices and robotic infantry.

It went missing during preparations to transfer it to a museum for safekeeping, and has never been seen since.

In 1981, Klaus Webner (still a local resident in Wiesdadener, and a UFO researcher) managed to track down the source of the photo as being an April Fools Day issue of the German newspaper "Wiebadener Tagblatt" in 1950. It was an April Fool's joke by then editor William Sprunkel and photographer Hans Scheffler.
No again. The thing was Irish, and almost certainly a hoax.

Serial killer Ted Bundy following his execution by electric chair at the Florida State Prison on January 24th, 1989.
I've seen vids of people being electrocuted and they sort of smoke up and burn, so must be something they do at state executions to prevent that.
