He'd have had to acquire them at work to qualify for what I got.

Mine are 77 and 76, every year there seems to be a big difference, part of the reason i've come back.

Went to doctor and got an ultrasound which showed a partial tear in the rotator cuff. Tried physio for a couple months, didn't work. Tried cortisone shots, didn't work for long enough. Finally decided on surgery.

Now the moan. When they did the surgery 3 days ago they discovered it was a full tear, not partial as earlier diagnosed which required much more serious surgery, and a much more serious and lengthy recovery. Was an unpleasant surprise when I woke up. Have to wear a bulky sling with foam cushions night and day for 6 weeks, along with a cryopac that feeds ice water through it from a cooler. Recovery time is 4-6 months. Literally moaning as I type this. Being loaded on oxycodone helps but also makes me feel like shit. Will be switching to tramadol next week so I don't get addicted.

Unlucky to be injured but lucky to live in a socialist country that pays workers comp at 90% of my wages pre-injury. (Perhaps that's a cheer )

Won't be posting much, or even reading as it makes me dizzy.

Thought it was a worthy moan to share.

Injured my rotator cuffs in the past but nothing as serious as yourself, so I feel your pain and frustration to a certain extent.

    Mend well soon.

Even my tablets haven't really worked.

Hopefully be better by Sunday for a day on the beer.

I spent the first night after surgery at my sisters and due to all the pills and lack of food I had the worst heartburn and didn't have my meds with me. Fucking agony. Ranitidine or rabeprazole work best for me.

I've got lansoprazole at the moment, but I usually have esomeprazole.

I'm the same as you in that I always get it after a lack of food, so I always have something to eat before hitting the pit at night.

The food triggers are pastries and bread. Pizza and wine is hell on earth.

Yup. Mexican food with refried beans while drinking beer is the worst for me. Tastes good at the time, but always catches up with me.

Rennies generally do the job for my heartburn.

Eating last thing will trigger it during the night.

Food snd drink triggers are crisps, junk food etc and cider or wine. Just not worth the hassle , so I stick to healthy home made food, beer and gut rot.

Yeah, my dad doesn't eat after 5pm. Anything after that and he'll have the old heartburn in the night. I'm the opposite.

First and last time, fvcking rank!

I'm impressed that you new them and which supermarket they come from, respecto

I've just had a late dinner tonight of roast beef and roasted vegetables, was amazing.

What difference a decent healthy meal makes.

Time for a customery glass of gut rot or three now.

You've just got time to nip out to the offy for a nightcap you lightweight!

It's Easter, it's time to get onit like a car bonnet!

I didn't know the beers, but I do know you!

They actually used to do some decent ones that came in a little green bottle.

    Years ago though that was.

I've got ten beers in the fridge, but they'll keep.

Watch dirty Leeds and then read a book in bed.

    Rock n roll.

Bollocks, you're a fooking regular in there when you are back home!

My daily moan is my Good Friday portion of Roast Beef wasn't big enough, it was lush and my finest creation to date.
Half of a one kilo joint.

    Needs much more gravy.

    It looks nice and burnt.

    Dry, burnt meat.

Our American friends would love that.

Tbf that was natural gravy, no Bisto!

I reckon a tin of Americas finest baked beans poured over the top would have been the cherry on the cake.

parsnip is 15p a 1/2kg in sainsburys atm, 19p elsewhere. Just how cremated was it all that only the end of one piece survived the ignominy of being part of that final still life?

    Looking good.

What are those three things by the carrots?

Hope that roast was charred on the outside and juicy red inside!

^ I think he picked up a couple of twigs from the garden, he'll probably call them haricot verts...

Needs some horseradish, mash, and peas and lots more gravy.
