Well its been about 5 years since i've driven through inner BKK and i now recall just how much fun it is. When you are moving you get to witness Thai driving chickenheadery in a kind of condensed version.

I've seen two prangs nothing serious, one motorcycle run into the back of a pickup as he was looking behind him and someone open the drivers door to retrive something whilst stationery only to have another car drive into it and the ensuing squabble gridlock the place further. I've got to plough back across most of it again shortly or i could say fookit i'll book into a hotel on Suki and get on it.

Im not autistic enough to do taxes like this. I am not going to keep track of my vehicles miles and keep fuel receipts. That is too much.

That is normally only required if you are self employed. Most self employed people us an accountant for that shit.
If you are self employed, who do you work for. I don’t think anyone would take you on, so your employer is an ass, or a relative trying to claim you as a tax loss. Total write off. Dick.

I really like the convenience of on line ordering, but lately Tops is getting right on my nerves. For the third time in a row they have misdirected the delivery driver to somewhere miles away, despite my address being in the system.

Seems what happens is Tops gives the delivery driver google maps with the delivery location marked on it. Whatever muppet is doing the tagging is f*cking it up every time. So the driver does not have the exact address, just this maps thing and the customers phone number.

    F*cked up system.

I don't know why you put this in the Moan Thread, however

No idea how the 2 blade system works for you.

I use all the Ryobi 36/40Volt and the 18Volt Ryobi One gear.

    Everything from Chainsaws/Mowers/Edgers/Pruning Saws/Blowers/Drills etc

Still keep a Petrol Mower for when it's wet or a Jungle I have to mow.

I always message my address to the deliverer.

Bolt seems to be even worse than Grab. I haven’t even used it because according to that app we live on a driving range 2km away.

It’s 62 baht to get from there to where we actually live.

^ Yeah - the problem is the Grab drivers get bent out of shape. They get paid by distance, and as we are a fair bit further out than shown they get underpaid for the job. I do more than make up the difference for them but I would rather not have the missus always dealing with grumpy Grab drivers because Tops cannot do a simple job properly.

You can edit the address/position on the map in the app.

well good luck with that then.

sitting outside hua hins market village shopping mall the other day we were watching the antics of the delivery drivers as they chatted away whilst waiting for their phones to ping, signalling that their orders were ready to be collected from any of market villages various fast food outlets, cafes and restaurants.

it was interesting to note that many of the drivers peeked inside the pizza boxes and other bags and receptacles as they smoked, chugged beer and chatted away before scooting off to make their deliveries.

it was also interesting to see how many of them actually sampled the food they and their colleagues were about to deliver. most just used their fingers but one of them actually brought a spoon out of his pocket.

they could have been at a buffet.

    bon appetit !

    wow, never thought of that.

My Grab location is correct on the map on my app, but not always on what delivery and taxis see.

Trust me - it aint that easy.

I fear your imagination is running away with you here.

Most products are well sealed, and if what you described actually happened/happens there would be phone videos of it from the public all over the net.

i described exactly what i saw, delivery drivers rummaging around in and snacking on their deliveries.

an onion ring here, a handful of french fries there, a spoonful of som tam or curry, a straw inserted into a cup of coke for a mouthful to wash it down, the customer wont know.

its human nature, these guys are hungry and thirsty and the temptation of the wafting aromas of freshly cooked food and the feel of an ice cold beverage in their hand can be hard to resist when the temperature is 38C, they havent eaten for 4 hours and they need to get their deliveries done in good time.

there are a lot of videos on the net about food delivery drivers helping themselves to food.

but to those lazy lard arses who cant be bothered to get off the couch and source their own food, which in thailand rarely entails much effort, bon appetit.

I am not ordering through Grab, but directly with Tops. They subcontract the delivery to Grab.

You are always such a ray of sunshine.

I was ordering groceries. If they can get that spoon into a can of Chick peas - good luck to them.

And at a current 68kg, bet I am lighter than you.
