The Manchester to Stoke train was akin to a scene from "one flew over the cuckoos nest" tonight.

TD posts per page. Worked fine on default for me for years but for some reason over the last 3 days i find myself unable to view the latest posts on some threads unless i fiddle with the number of pages to show settings.

Lets be honest here. You have two guys out in Isaan drinking Ya dong and Leo until they were a bit bent. Then one of the two has a bright idea and says "Use this". Few more Ya Dongs and Leos later Mendy is starting to feel a burn. Just another laughable event out of the NE of Thailand....

I’m moving house and I need a sofa and a washing machine.

So I register on a local buy/sell site, specifying Major Appliances and Furniture.

They keep sending me ads for ladies clothing. Including used underwear. WTF is that all about?

My recent M&S mens underwear purchases were obviously not included in that very inauspicious algorithm.

Be careful, soon you'll be wearing wicking silk shorts and posting them on TD.

    Speak for yourself Mike.
If I accidentally end up in any ladies section, I get embarrassed. No idea why these days but there it is.

I was looking for some small packs of tissue in Makro. I can't read Thai and I was inspecting a package which turned out to be sanitary napkins. Now I know, I don't go down that aisle any more.

^ When I was a child, my mother sent me into the market to buy some dinner napkins while she waited in the car. There was a big display of sanitary napkins in the paper goods isle and I grabbed one. When I got back to the car, my mom screeched and went back into the store for an exchange. I wondered for a couple of years why we had to have unsanitary napkins on the table.

Good Luck MK. Wife just finished our Thai taxes. I just sent all my US information as well. Haven't lived in the US for quite a few years but still have to file US taxes and each year have to do that FBAR so they can keep tabs on me. Somebody always has a hand in my pocket wanting money.

I just got an 18K tax refund which belongs in this thread by dint of the absurd amount of taxes I've paid.

Gonna cash the cheque and spend it on wine regardless as a protest.

    Take that, The Man!

    ^^ I got back $81. Bastards.

Guess I should be happy that I didn’t have to pay more in addition to what was already paid.

Yeah MK, take it as a small victory. I got peanuts here in Thailand compared to what I paid but brightside, just had my US taxes done and the equalization and foreign tax credits worked so I owe nothing. Now need to do my FBAR to Homeland security so they don't think I am Yaba cartel leader.

Just out of interest, did you pay into Thai social security? If you did, do you know that when leaving the country you can cash that out, and get at least some money paid back?

Yes I did and did know that however thanks for the timely reminder also.

Definitely worth the effort--it won't be an insignificant amount after all these years.

Oh Yeah.. Its like a nice little savings you didn't really plan on and the beauty is its not counted as income here. Big win. . I got a nice chunk of change waiting when I retire....again.....
